WWE NXT Recap: Neville Defends Against Clay, NXT Women's Championship Tournament, More

This week's episode of NXT opens with Triple H in the ring. He says that NXT is about the future, but the line between present and future gets blurred everyday. He says all of the biggest stars are products of NXT. He brings up Paige being the new Divas Champion. He says it's like NXT is taking over the world. He announces that on May 29 there will be a live, 2-hour special from Full Sail University. The name will be NXT Takeover.

Tyson Kidd makes his entrance.

Tyson Kidd vs. Bo Dallas

Bo Dallas has new, inspirational theme music with this match. They lock up. Bo backs Kidd to the corner. They lock up again. Kidd shoves Bo away, and Bo hits a shoulder tackle. Kidd locks in a waist lock. Bo reverses into a side headlock. Kidd fights out and kicks Bo in the back. He strikes and kicks Bo in the corner. Kidd hits a vertical suplex. He climbs up top and Bo rolls out of the ring. Kidd tries to kick Bo from the apron, but Bo catches his foot and trips him. He sends Kidd inside and goes for several pin attempts.

Bo grabs Kidd's arm and hits him with several elbows. The crowd starts singing 'He's Got the Whole World in His Hands.' Bo locks in Kidd's head. Kidd breaks free. He chops Bo and goes for a dropkick, but Bo hangs onto the ropes. Bo goes for a cover. He knees Kidd several times and goes for another cover. Bo locks Kidd's head back in. Kidd gets free. He hits Bo with an elbow. He head scissors Bo into the turnbuckle. Kidd kicks Bo in the legs and head. He hits Bo with a dropkick to the head. Bo lands a belly-to-belly out of nowhere for a two count.

Bo lands a corner bulldog for a two count. He gets in the ref's face. Bo whips Kidd, and Kidd kicks him in the face. He goes up top and Bo pulls him to the apron. Kidd kicks Bo in the head and goes up top again. Kidd hits his somersault neckbreaker for the win.

Winner: Tyson Kidd

Bo yells at the crowd after the match, saying he didn't lose the match.

Then, Camacho is backstage with Devin Taylor. She asks about Adam Rose. Camacho says he isn't a party pooper and he throws the best parties. He says NXT is a serious place. Adam Rose walks up and says it doesn't matter, wherever he goes it's party time. All his people surround them and start dancing.

Next, Bayley is shown. She says that the NXT Women's Championship tournament is very important to her, and Sasha Banks is standing in her way. Sasha Banks is shown. She says it's time for the boss to take charge.

Back from commercial and Bayley makes her entrance.

Banks rams Bayley into the corner. She snapmares Bayley to the mat and goes for the cover. Banks charges Bayley in the corner. She goes for a body slam, but Bayley counters into a pin attempt. Bayley goes for a backslide. She rolls Banks up another time. Banks knees Bayley in the stomach. Bayley comes back with an arm drag. She slams Banks into the corner twice. Bayley slaps Banks in the back in the corner. She hits Banks with a vertical suplex.

Banks comes back with a dropkick to the back. She slams Bayley's head into the corner several times. Banks slaps Bayley in the back. Bayley hits a backdrop. She rushes Bayley and knocks her to the mat. Bayley hits a flying forearm in the corner. She hits Banks with a belly-to-belly. Banks rolls to the apron. Bayley follows her, and Banks snaps her neck across the rope. Banks hits Bankrupt for a near pin fall. Banks hits a backstabber and then locks in a crossface. Bayley taps.

Winner: Sasha Banks

Then, the feud between Brodus Clay and Adrian Neville is recapped.

Back from commercial and Adam Rose makes his entrance.

Adam Rose vs. Danny Burch

The two tie up. Rose gets out and rolls around the ring. Rose flips Burch to the mat. Burch kicks him in the stomach and clubs him in the back. He slams Rose's head into the corner. Rose fires back with multiple shots to the head. He chops Burch several times and kicks him in the corner. Rose hits the Party Foul for the win.

Winner: Adam Rose

Camacho attacks one of Rose's party people after the match. The crowd chants party pooper.

Then, Brodus Clay is shown backstage. He says last time he saw Neville he took away his smile. Now, he is going to take his title.

Natalya vs. Layla

Layla takes Natalya to the mat and dances around. She kicks Natalya in the stomach and locks in her arm. Natalya counters into a suplex. She goes for a bodyslam, but Layla counters out. She punches Natalya on the mat. Layla hits a clothesline and goes for a pin. She puts her knee in Natalya's back and pulls her arms back. Natalya gets free, but Layla slams her headfirst to the mat. Natalya gets a quick pin attempt, but Layla attacks again.

Natalya comes back with a clothesline. She hits Layla with a vertical suplex and a discus clothesline. Natalya goes for the sharpshooter, but Layla kicks her away. Layla tries to attack, but Natalya successfully locks in the sharpshooter. Layla taps immediately.

Winner: Natalya

Then, Adrian Neville is shown backstage. He says Clay knocked out his teeth. He has worked too hard to lose to someone like him. He will beat him in the center of the ring 1-2-3.

Back from commercial and Oliver Grey makes his entrance.

Oliver Grey vs. Mojo Rawley

Grey clubs Mojo in the back repeatedly. He kicks Mojo in the head. Mojo shoves him into the corner. He hits Grey with a flying corner splash and a leaping senton. He hits Grey with Hyperdrive for the win.

Winner: Mojo Rawley

Aiden English comes out on the stage. He says he has made the decision to stop suffering fools. He calls Mojo a fool and tells him to get off the artiste's stage. English attacks Mojo from behind. Mojo clotheslines him outside of the ring.

Then, Adrian Neville is shown backstage again. He is stretching for his match against Brodus Clay.

Neville immediately attacks Clay with forearms before the bell. He dumps Clay outside and hits him with a dive. Neville sends Clay back inside and kicks him repeatedly as the bell rings. He kicks Clay in the head. Neville goes up top and Clay rolls out of the way. Neville charges and hits him with a dropkick. He kicks Clay in the chest and elbows the back of his neck. Neville goes up top and leaps off, and Clay shoves him in mid air. He hangs Neville from the top rope and charges him.

Clay suplexes Neville. He drops an elbow on Neville. Clay clubs Neville in the back. He elbows Neville in the chest. Clay picks Neville up on his shoulder and locks his waist in. Neville gets off and takes out the back of Clay's knee. He kicks out Clay's other knee. Neville dropkicks Clay in the side of the head. Clay comes back with a headbutt. He powerbombs Neville. The crowd chants better than Batista. Clay goes up top and hits a splash for a two count. Clay has a shocked look on his face.

Clay goes outside the ring and grabs the NXT Title. He gets in the ring and charges at Neville with it. Neville kicks the title into Clay's chest. He goes up top and leaps off, hitting Clay with the Red Arrow for the win.
