WWE NXT Recap With Video: Sami Zayn Vs. Tyson Kidd Vs. Tyler Breeze, Mojo Vs. English, More

This week's episode of NXT opens with a recap of last week's number one contender battle royal.

The Ascension then make their way down to the ring.

The Ascension vs. Buddy Murphy and Elias Sampson

Viktor and Murphy start off. Viktor backs Murphy to the corner and chops him. Konnor tags in. They double team Murphy. Konnor stomps on Murphy in the corner. Viktor tags in and hits Sampson off the apron. They hit the Fall of Man for the win.

Winners: The Ascension

Konnor grabs a mic after the match. He says they have laid waste to every tag team in the NXT Universe. Viktor takes the mic and says bring us something new to destroy.

El Local and Kalisto come out on the ramp. They challenge the Ascension to a match. Kalisto starts a lucha chant.

Then, Sami Zayn is backstage with a new interviewer. She asks how he feels about his match later in the evening. Zayn says people know that he can get obsessed with things, and this is a way to redeem himself. It's starting to become an obsession and he isn't taking it lightly. He is going to take the opportunity.

Back from commercial and Alexa Bliss makes her entrance.

Alexa Bliss vs. Charlotte

Bliss locks in a sleeper. Charlotte backs her to the corner to break the hold. Bliss hits a back elbow. She goes up top and flips off. Bliss gets a quick pin attempt. Charlotte comes back with a knee to the stomach and a pin attempt. She chokes Bliss on the center rope with her shin. Charlotte locks in an abdominal stretch. She elbows Bliss in the side. Bliss fights free, but Charlotte strikes her in the face. She hangs Bliss from the turnbuckle and kicks her chest. Charlotte goes for another pin.

She slams Bliss head first to the mat and locks in another abdominal stretch. Bliss fights free and tries for a pin again. Bliss hits several strikes and kicks. Bliss goes for a crossbody, but Charlotte counters into a backbreaker. She bends Bliss back first over her knee. Bliss fights out with strikes to the head. Charlotte knees her in the stomach and stomps on her back. She chokes Bliss on the center rope again. Bliss goes for another crossbody, and Charlotte hits another backbreaker. Charlotte lands her somersault cutter for the win.

Winner: Charlotte

Then, Tyler Breeze is shown backstage. He says that to be a champ, you need to be determined. More importantly, you need to be gorgeous. He says that his opponents are both Canadian, and it's scientifically proven that Canadians lack the DNA to be gorgeous. He doesn't have that problem. He will do whatever it takes to get what he wants.

Back from commercial and Mojo Rawley makes his entrance.

Mojo Rawley vs. Aiden English

Mojo drives his shoulder into English's stomach. He hits English with a crossbody. English bails to the apron. He comes back in and hits Mojo with a neckbreaker. English drops several fists on Mojo. He slams Mojo's head into the corner and kicks him. He knees Mojo in the stomach and slams him into the corner again. Mojo comes back with a kick to the mid section. He charges English, and English puts an elbow up. English hits a DDT.

English locks in Mojo's head from behind. Mojo counters out with a bodyslam. He kicks English in the face and hits a clothesline. Mojo lands a pair of splashes in the corner and Hyperdrive for the win.

Winner: Mojo Rawley

Then, Tyson Kidd is shown backstage. He says he believes in hard work and second chances. He says he is the leader of the pack, and he will be NXT champion.

Back from commercial and Angelo Dawkins is in the ring.

Angelo Dawkins vs. Colin Cassady

They lock up. Colin knees Angelo in the stomach several times. He clubs Angelo in the back and attacks him in the corner. Colin clubs Angelo in the chest. He takes Angelo to another corner and clubs him again. CJ Parker is shown at ringside with a picket sign. Colin hits an elbow drop. Colin hits Angelo in the stomach and lands a big back elbow as Parker continues to walk around ringside. Colin hits a body slam and another elbow drop.

He whips Angelo into the corner and charges. Angelo puts his elbow up and lands a dropkick. Angelo charges Colin, and Colin hits a high knee to the face. Colin lands a big boot. He follows up with the East River Crossing for the win.

Winner: Colin Cassady

Then, Bo Dallas is backstage with JBL. He says the Bolievers are demanding a shot at the title for him. He has the letters to prove it. JBL suggests they give the letters to Parker so he can recycle them. JBL says that if Bo can beat his next opponent he will get a title shot, but if he loses, he has to leave NXT for good. Bo asks who it is, and JBL says it's Big E.

Number One Contender Triple Threat Match
Tyson Kidd vs. Sami Zayn vs. Tyler Breeze

Kidd kicks Breeze and Zayn. He hits them both with a double dropkick. Kidd strikes Zayn in the corner. Breeze clubs Kidd in the back and tosses him outside. Breeze hits Zayn in the head and kicks him in the corner. He chokes Zayn with his boot. Zayn battles back with strikes to the head. Breeze charges Zayn and lands a back elbow. Zayn hits Breeze with a heel kick. Kidd gets back inside, and Zayn dropkicks him. He charges Kidd, and Breeze hits Zayn with the Beauty Shot. Breeze tries to pin Zayn. Kidd breaks up the attempt.

Back from commercial and Breeze kicks Kidd in the face. Zayn is outside. Breeze knees Kidd in the head. Kidd tries for the sharpshooter, but Breeze crawls to the ropes. Kidd kicks him outside and goes for a dive, but Breeze hits him. Zayn takes Breeze out with a dive. He goes up top and hits Kidd with a crossbody. Kidd kicks out of a pin attempt and rolls to the apron. Zayn locks Breeze in a waist lock and hits the blue thunder bomb.

Zayn charges Breeze for his corner big boot, but Breeze puts a boot up. Zayn grabs Breeze, and Kidd comes up from behind. They hit an exploder/German suplex spot with all three wrestlers. Kidd punches Zayn in the face. Kidd locks Zayn in the sharpshooter. He pulls Zayn to the center of the ring. Breeze super kicks Kidd and gets a two count. Breeze clotheslines Kidd to the outside. Zayn exploder suplexes Breeze into the corner and gets a near pin fall. He slaps Breeze in the chest and leaps up top for the tornado DDT, but Breeze hits him, sending him falling onto the ropes.

Kidd attacks Breeze. He goes up top and Breeze elbows him. Zayn hits his corner running boot on Breeze. Kidd tosses Zayn to the floor and leaps off at Breeze with an elbow drop. Kidd pins Breeze for the win.
