WWE Superstars Recap With Video: Kofi Kingston Vs. Titus O'Neil, Sin Cara Vs. Drew McIntyre
The show opens with Kofi Kingston making his entrance. Bryon Saxton and Tom Phillips are on commentary.
Kofi Kingston vs. Titus O'Neil
Kofi kicks Titus in the mid section. Titus backs Kofi to the corner. He goes for a strike, but Kofi bails to the apron. Titus grabs Kofi's hair, and Kofi snaps his head across the top rope. Kofi lands more body kicks. He charges at Titus, and Titus hits a big boot. He strikes and kicks Titus in the corner. Titus keeps the attack up. He locks in Kofi's waist and rag dolls him around. Kofi fights free and kicks Titus in the head.
Titus hits a clubbing blow to the back of the neck. He slams Kofi's head repeatedly into the mat and hits a leg drop. Titus steps on the back of Kofi's head. Titus knees Kofi several times in the stomach and slams him to the mat. He charges Kofi in the corner, and Kofi moves. Kofi lands a dropkick. He leaps at Titus in the corner, and Titus catches him. Kofi counters into a pin attempt. Kofi leaps up top and jumps off with a crossbody.
Kofi hits the Boom Drop. He signals for Trouble in Paradise. Titus catches him and counters into a backbreaker. Titus charges Kofi, and Kofi puts his boots up. Titus charges again, and Kofi hits Trouble in Paradise for the win.
Winner: Kofi Kingston
Jerry Lawler interviews Kofi after the match, and Kofi says it's good to be back on track. Anytime you can beat a guy like Titus, you take it. Jerry asks if it feels great to put Rusev behind him, and Kofi asks why he's talking about old stuff. He wants to talk about new stuff. Kofi asks the crowd if anyone wants to cook him a nice, Southern meal. He asks Lawler to excuse him while he celebrates.
Then, the feud between John Cena and the Wyatt Family is recapped.
Back from commercial and Cena and the Usos vs. the Wyatt Family from RAW is shown. This is followed by Wyatt's promo against Cena from RAW, and a Bo Dallas video package.
Back from commercial and Daniel Bryan's announcement from RAW is shown. The in-ring segment with Stephanie McMahon, and the ambulance segment with Bryan, Brie Bella and Stephanie follow this.
Sin Cara (with Los Matadores and El Torito) Vs. Drew McIntyre (with Heath Slater, Jinder Mahal, and Hornswoggle)
Cara gets a pair of quick pin attempts. McIntyre kicks Cara in the stomach and locks in a side headlock. McIntyre hits a shoulder tackle. Cara hits an arm drag and a monkey flip. Cara locks in McIntyre's arm. McIntyre breaks free. He backdrops Cara to the apron. Cara goes up top. McIntyre charges, and Cara flips off. Cara sends McIntyre to the outside as things go to commercial.
Back from commercial and McIntyre shoves Cara in mid air. He stomps on Cara in the corner. McIntyre locks in Cara's arm. Cara gets free and gets a pin attempt. McIntyre comes back with a back breaker. McIntyre whips Cara into the corner and charges. Cara puts his boot up. He goes up top and leaps off with a DDT. Torito gets up on the apron to cheer Cara on. Cara hits McIntyre with a crossbody and a hurricanrana. Cara lands a springboard back elbow.
McIntyre hits a flying big boot. Hornswoggle and Torito start fighting on the outside. They chase each other under the ring. The Matadores, Mahal, and Slater all follow them. Mahal and Slater emerge from one side, and the Matadores from another. El Torito comes out and he's holding Hornswoggle's pants. Hornswoggle emerges from the other side in bright yellow boxers, and he apparently doesn't realize his pants are gone. Slater and Mahal point it out, and Hornswoggle runs to the back, falling down in the process.
Back in the ring, Cara kicks McIntyre in the head from the apron. He goes up top and hits McIntyre with his senton bomb for the win.
Winner: Sin Cara
