Actor Starting Wrestling Show, Goldberg And Other Huge Names At Convention, AJ Styles - Hannibal
- Peabody Award winning actor Nick Searcy (Justified, Moneyball, Cast Away) appeared on The Matthew Aaron Show to discuss his career and much more. Searcy, who is a massive wrestling fan, dropped a few details about a project he is currently working on.
"For the last year I have been working on this show about independent wrestlers, I went to Georgia last summer and shot for about a week with a wrestler named Mickey Gotti, we got picked up by Magilla Entertainment in New York (Long Island Medium, Moonshiners) and in the next 2-3 weeks we start pitching the show," Searcy said.
Nick was quick to point out that his show will be completely different than the show Billy Corgan is doing in Chicago.
"The show that we've got is definitely way different that what Billy's got, ours is much more about who these guys are, who does this, who are these people that want to be wrestlers that also work at carpet mills and garages during the week and then on the weekend for 25 or 50 bucks they are dropping each other on their heads and they long to be in the WWE."
Searcy added that he has talked with Matt Hardy, who is a friend of his, about doing some stuff together if the show takes off. He also added that he will be stepping into the ring, but not as a wrestler. Searcy also discussed the upcoming sixth and final season of Justified which starts filming in August, his politics, current projects and more.
