WWE Live Event Results From Springfield (5/31): John Cena & The Shield, Adam Rose, Sheamus

* The Usos retained their Tag Team championship against Rybaxel.

* Adam Rose defeated Jack Swagger.

* Cesaro defeated Kofi Kingston.

* Paige retained her Divas championship against Naomi.

* Sheamus retained his United States championship against Alberto Del Rio.

* Dolph Ziggler and Summer Rae defeated Fandango and Layla in mixed tag team action.

* Bad News Barrett retained the Intercontinental championship over Big E.

* The Shield and John Cena defeated the Wyatt Family and Kane.

From Jacob:

Currently sitting at the live event in Springfield, IL. Came to the September show last year where CM Punk was main eventing against Curtis Axel with Heyman. That house in September was filled in the lower bowl, but didn't extend to the upper bowl. 1 hour before the show with Cena here this place is already packed (crawling with kids) and extends to the upper bowl.

There is a twitter vote for either a mix tag or a dance off (like always) involving Summer Rae and Dolph Ziggler vs. Fandango and Layla.

There is a video of the Usos in the back talking about their upcoming match. Ryback and Axel come out to boo's. Usos were OVER. They win with the splash off the top rope. After they are celebrating on the stage, the Wyatts music hit and Harper and Rowan beat the Usos down. Bray Wyatt cuts a promo on John Cena over the speaker.

Zeb cut a heel promo. Jack Swagger vs Adam Rose. Mixed crowd reactions, slow match. Rose hits finisher out of nowhere.

Cesaro's music hits to a pop – no Paul Heyman. Kofi Kingston comes out to a big pop (kids). Cesaro wins with finisher.

Naomi comes out, then Paige. Crowd was out of it until the ref got rolled on by the girls and he celebrated and climbed the turnbuckle to the biggest pop of the night. Alicia Fox comes down and there is a DQ. Paige and Naomi team to get Fox out of the ring and then dance.

Sheamus vs. Alberto Del Rio for the US Title. Huge pop for Sheamus, who wins with the Brogue kick.

Intermission

Fandango comes out with Layla, Dolph Ziggler with Summer. The vote is for the tag match. Ziggler hits the Zig-Zag for the win. Ziggler and Summer were doing the HBK / HHH pose with Summer flexing and Ziggler standing behind.

Big E vs Bad News Barrett for the IC Title. Bull hammer for the win, big pop for Big E.

Wyatts come out and then Kane, both to boos. The Shield come out to huge pop then the place blows when Cena comes out. Seth Rollins takes most of the beating until finally making a tag to Cena to a huge pop. The final hot tag was to Roman Reigns and the place blew again. Reigns wins the match for his team with the spear to Harper. Cena leaves quickly and left the Shield to celebrate with the fans.
