The UFC completed a long week with The Ultimate Fighter 19 Finale Sunday evening from Las Vegas. In the main event, former UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar earned his third victory over BJ Penn. The show also featured the crowning of two new Ultimate Fighter winners.
Edgar has now defeated Penn, a former lightweight and welterweight champion, three times. He topped him twice via decision, but earned a stoppage victory this time, ending it in the third round with ground-and-pound.
Corey Anderson finished Matt Van Buren at light heavyweight and Eddie Gordon did the same to Dhiego Lima at middleweight. While the season lacked many memorable finishes, both finales ended in just over a combined two minutes.
In other action, Derrick Lewis claimed a victory over Guto Inocente at heavyweight and Dustin Ortiz downed Justin Scoggins at flyweight. On the prelims, Kevin Lee, Leandro Issa, Adriano Martins, Patrick Walsh, Sarah Moras and Robert Drysdale all claimed wins.
