- WWE today announced financial results for its second quarter ending June 30, 2014, including the WWE Network subscriber total. The company announced a net addition of 33,000 subscribers for the WWE Network since April, lifting total subscribers to 700,000 (gross addition of 161,000 subscribers, with a loss of 128,000 subscribers). WWE has previously set a year-end target of one million subscribers and has noted that 1.3 million to 1.4 million subscribers would put it past a break-even point offsetting financial losses from pay-per-view events. During the conference call, Vince McMahon called the 700,000 figure a "strong base to build on."

During Wednesday night's edition of Wrestling Observer Radio (audio available here), host Bryan Alvarez said he heard from a person in WWE that the WWE Network subscriber count was 690,000. Host Dave Meltzer clarified the number in today's edition of Wrestling Observer Radio discussing WWE's financial results (audio available here) by saying that 690,000 figure was the subscriber count as of a few days ago. Since the figure that WWE released today was for the period ending June 30, that means the company has since lost a net total of 10,000 subscribers.

- The official WWE website is advertising Adam Rose for tonight's episode of WWE NXT on the WWE Network: "Adam Rose is ready to have a good time tonight on NXT! What does the megastar of Jurassic proportions have in store for the NXT Universe."
