Huge Opening For Batista's Movie, Hercules Update, Chris Jericho, WWE In Lubbock (Reports Wanted)
- Guardians of the Galaxy, which features Batista in a top role, is off to a monster start at the box office. It took in $11.2 million in previews on Thursday before earning $37.8 million on Friday. It is expected to earn between $91 – $100 million for the weekend.
- Hercules suffered a big hit in its second week, earning $3.13 million yesterday, down 71% from last Friday. It is expected to finish the weekend with $10 million, to bring its domestic box office total to $52 million.

- As noted earlier, John Cena will not be at this weekend's WWE live events as he is filming Trainwreck. WWE presents a live event tonight at the United Spirit Arena in Lubbock, TX. The Big Show vs. Randy Orton and Dean Ambrose vs. Seth Rollins headlines the event, as well as Sunday's live event at Foster Communications Coliseum in San Angelo, TX. Dolph Ziggler, Goldust and Stardust, Alberto Del Rio, Ryback and Big E are also slated to appear at both events.
