More On The Rock's Mother Following Auto Accident With Drunk Driver, Batista Movie Update, Hercules

- Guardians of the Galaxy, which features Batista as Drax the Destroyer, fell to number two at the U.S. box office this weekend. It earned $41.5 million, bringing its domestic total to $175.9 million. The movie has grossed $313 million worldwide, and is expected to be one of the top grossers of the year.

- Hercules starring Dwayne Johnson pulled in $5.3 million in its third weekend, putting it in seventh place. It has earned $63.4 million to date domestically, and it crossed the $100 million mark worldwide last week.

- As noted earlier, Johnson noted on his Instagram that his cousin, NXT talent Lina Fanene, and his mother, Ata Johnson, were struck head-on by a drunk driver earlier this month. Dave Meltzer noted on F4WOnline that he believes that the accident took place on August 1st. A drunk woman with a suspended license was apparently being chased by police at a high speed when she crossed over a median and struck their car. Lina suffered a broken collarbone and underwent surgery, while Ata has a cast on her left hand and had bruising in her lungs and chest from crashing into the steering wheel. Meltzer added that both women are recovering well.

"My mom & cousin @linafanene were struck head on by a drunk driver this week – they lived," Johnson wrote on Instagram. "First reaction is to find the person who did this and do unrelenting harm to them. But then you realize the most important thing is my family lived thru this and we can hug each other that much tighter these days. Hug your own family tighter today and be grateful you can tell them you love them. #BearHugsAndGratitude #100PercentPreventable #ChoicesMatter."
