Triple H Talks Stephanie McMahon's Match Against Brie, Sgt. Slaughter Addresses Health Concerns
- After being challenged by Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, Triple H took the "Ice Bucket Challenge" to help raise awareness for ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease). While discussing the plunge with TMZ Sports, he spoke out on Stephanie McMahon's match against Brie Bella this Sunday at SummerSlam.
"I have been training with her quite a bit. We've been in the ring. She has been working very, very hard with our strength and conditioning coach Joe DeFranco and she is ready," remarked Triple H. "She's in the best shape I've ever seen her in and she's ready to go."
Will Stephanie be taking part in the Ice Bucket Challenge?
"I would've nominated her for this Ice Bucket Challenge, but she's got enough pressure on her this weekend, Brie Bella at SummerSlam, and that kind of stuff has the tendency to come back around you when you're her husband, you know what I mean?" said Triple H.
Instead of nominating Stephanie for the Ice Bucket Challenge, the WWE COO nominated Hulk Hogan, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and Vince McMahon to participate in the plunge.
- It was reported this week in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE Hall of Famer Sgt. Slaughter, 65, was recently hospitalized for a reoccurring bleeding ulcer. The former WWE Champion addressed his health on Facebook yesterday, "Listen up, maggots! Thanks for your concern. I am undergoing some tests. Will keep you posted. Until then, drop & give me 20! You're dismissed!"
