WWE Talent Says He's Retired From The Ring

On Thursday, WWE released a video blog of the former Tensai, who now goes by the name Jason Albert, discussing the future of WWE and their Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. For those who did not watch the video, Albert revealed that he is retired from the ring and now training WWE's future stars.

"I've actually hung up the boots for in-ring work, and I'm living a dream come true now," said Albert. "I've always had a passion of teaching and coaching, and that is what I'm able to do today."

Albert touted the state-of-the-art facility and said 70 to 75 people get to work out there. He is training wrestlers at the Performance Center six days a week.

Real name Matt Bloom, he first rose to prominence under the names Prince Albert (which was eventually shortened to Albert) and A-Train during his first tenure with WWE, during which he also became a one time Intercontinental Champion. After being released from WWE in 2004, Bloom adopted the ring name Giant Bernard and began wrestling extensively in Japan, where he won New Japan Pro Wrestling's IWGP Tag Team Championship twice and Pro Wrestling Noah's GHC Tag Team Championship. He returned to WWE in 2012 as Lord Tensai (later shortened to Tensai), and teamed up with Brodus Clay as "Tons of Funk" the following year. His final match took place at a WWE NXT live event on January 18, 2014, where he lost to Adam Rose. The very same month, he began appearing as a commentator on WWE NXT broadcasts.
