Dana White Says Conor McGregor Bigger Than Brock Lesnar, Anderson Silva Wants Title Back

- UFC president Dana White put some immense pressure on Conor McGregor moving forward. McGregor earned his fourth UFC victory over the weekend, finishing highly-ranked Dustin Poirier in the first round. On the FOX Sports 1 post-fight show, White declared the magnitude of "Notorious" as being on par with the elite.

"He's a legit force, bigger than I've ever seen," White said (you can see the entire interview in the video above). "Bigger than Brock Lesnar. Let's just say we're way over budget. The numbers, we attributed it to Conor."

Lesnar, a former UFC heavyweight champion now competing in the WWE, skyrocketed to stardom because of his appeal from pro wrestling when he entered the Octagon. He retired after a loss to Alistair Overeem.

While White didn't officially name McGregor the next contender to the UFC's featherweight title, simply saying "I don't know," he also didn't say he needed another win. The champion, Jose Aldo, is scheduled to defend his title in October against Chad Mendes.

- Former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva will fight for the first time in over a year this January when he takes on Nick Diaz at UFC 183. "The Spider" has been recovering from a broken leg suffered in 2013 vs. Chris Weidman.

While most believe just returning to the Octagon is a feat in and of itself, Silva appears set on trying to compete for the title once more. He has lost his last two, both to Weidman, via finish.

"My project is in the UFC one," he said, in an interview with Veja out of Brazil. "While I did not get the belt back, I do not stop. I want to at least try."

Previously, Silva had said there was no desire to compete for the UFC title again. He defended the title 10 times between 2006-13.
