UFC Fight Night 50 Results: Jacare Souza Makes Statement, Alistair Overeem Stunned, Bonuses

It was a night of convincing finishes at UFC Fight Night 50 Friday, as Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza made a statement in the middleweight division by choking out Gegard Mousasi in the main event.

Souza controlled the first two-plus rounds with takedowns and effective striking, moving quickly off another successful takedown to lock up a guillotine choke in the third round.

In the co-main event, Alistair Overeem was finished by Ben Rothwell, as the heavyweight landed a nasty shot that floored the former Strikeforce champion. Souza, Rothwell, Joe Lauzon and Michael Chiesa all earned "Fight Night" bonuses and $50,000. Souza and Rothwell scored "Performance of the Night" honors while Lauzon and Chiesa were named the "Fight of the Night."
