UFC's Joe Rogan Rips Pro Wrestling, Comedian Talks Turning Down WWE Job

Comedian Tony Hinchcliffe appeared on the most recent episode of Joe Rogan's podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, which you can watch above. During the interview, Hinchcliffe revealed that he met with WWE once a couple of months ago and was made an offer to move to Stamford, CT for a writing job. Despite being offered "insanely serious money," Hinchcliffe turned it down, noting that it was grueling and that he didn't want to move to Stamford. Hinchcliffe later called a WWE writing job "grueling" and "creepy."

Hinchcliffe later started revealing some WWE storyline ideas and talked about how stunned the crowd was when Brock Lesnar ended the Undertaker's streak at WrestleMania 30 earlier this year.

"You know what else could stun that audience?," Rogan replied. "A f-cking simple card trick!"

Hinchcliffe later brought up the crossover between UFC fans and WWE fans. Rogan noted that MMA was real, while wrestling "was some weird, f–king jerk-off thing that strange guys do when they sit in front of the TV and pretend that they don't know it's fake."

Rogan made the point that he needs real. When it was pointed out that all non-sports is scripted, he said while Game of Thrones is scripted, it looks real, while wrestling is offensive to him.

Rogan faced some backlash from wrestling fans on Twitter for his comments, and he replied:

"Dear butt hurt pro wrestling fans tweeting me, I don't REALLY hate pro wrestling. We were just making funny..."

"Pro wrestling fans hate-tweeting me, I love lots of s–t that sucks too. I watch hunting shows and I've seen Road House at least 30 times"

"One things I really do appreciate is the passion that pro wrestling fans have in defending their ridiculous pastime. #RESPECT"
