Dean Ambrose Talks His Reaction To WWE Offering Him Movie Role, His Experience Working On The Film

With a high profile return to the WWE and a recently completed film, Dean Ambrose has been hard at work promoting his various projects. On a recent edition of The Wrestling Compadres Slamcast he spoke about juggling his jobs and how he found out he'd be in a film.

"I figured I'd be in the background holding a gun for five seconds. Then they sent me the script and I realized I was the lead role and a thought it was hilarious. They have no idea I'm not qualified for this at all," Ambrose said. "I've never acted before, I've never been on the set for a Dunkin' Donuts commercial let alone an action movie."

Ambrose compared the film to the WWE, saying much of the production was similar and that he didn't feel any pressure saying "If the Miz can do it, and Randy (Orton) can do it, then I can definitely do it. I think I did pretty good, though."

The former WWE United States Champion also spoke about how cool he thought it was to have a stunt double, which happened to be former UFC fighter Jason Day. He said it was an unusual transition to go from making his punches look real in front of a dozen camera angles to missing a punch completely on a movie set.
