Matt Hardy Talks Working For TNA And Tonight's Title Defense, Bret Hart And DDP At MCW This Weekend

- As noted earlier, Matt Hardy will defend the MCW (Maryland Championship Wrestling) title against Christian York at tonight's stacked Waldorf Warfare 2014 event at the Unique Sports Academy in Waldorf, MD. There will be a special meet and greet with Bret "The Hitman" Hart, Diamond Dallas Page, Hardy, Jimmy Hart & all of the stars of MCW at 6:00 p.m. when the doors open. You MUST have an event ticket in order to enter the pre show meet & greet. There are additional fees for photo opportunities and autographs during the meet and greet. - MCW presents another big event on Saturday night, with the winner of the Hardy – York match facing Drolix at MCW Tribute To The Legends 2014 from the Maryland Championship Wrestling Arena @ The Joppa Market Place in Joppa, MD. There will also be a 20 man battle royal with the winner getting a future shot at the MCW Heavyweight Championship. Bret Hart, DDP, Hardy and Jimmy Hart will once again be greeting fans from 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm. You MUST have an event ticket in order to enter the pre show meet & greet.

- ABC2 in Maryland has an interview with Hardy, who was promoting this weekend's MCW events. During the interview, Hardy talked about his current schedule and working for TNA and ROH.

"I'm pretty content with my career path at this point," Hardy said. "I feel like I've aged out of being a full-time competitor. It's nice to be able to wrestle two or three times a week and really give the fans everything I have.

"TNA and Ring of Honor have been great to me. I've been able to work out a deal where I can perform where I want and really work with some great young talent. It's great to see there are viable options out there other than the WWE where wrestlers can hone their craft and make a living at the same time."
