News And Photos From Weekend Signing With Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, Bellas, Goldust & Stardust
Thanks to WrestlingINC.com reader Anthony Pimentel @_anthony_gp for sending in these photos and notes from this past Saturday's Ringside 11 signing in New York City:
My friend and I attended the 11th annual Ringside fest this past Saturday and just wanted to send in some notes. We got there around 7:30 am but the line was already way longer than previous years.
Session 1 began at 9:30am and featured the Bellas and Dean Ambrose. Nikki was out first to a great reaction and bickered about how the announcer should have introduced her as "The Nikki Bella" instead of just Nikki Bella.
As the announcer was introducing Brie, someone shouted "She's the better sister" to get some laughs from everyone, including Nikki. Brie received an equally great reaction when she came out. The twins stayed in character acting as if they did not want to sit together. This was my second time meeting them and they are always a delight.
Ambrose was up last and got an explosive reaction. When it was my turn to meet him, we chatted about his early days for a second. I thought he was very outgoing and humble. Great guy.
We were told we needed to exit the venue before coming back for the second session, which was supposed to begin at 1pm. Since it was raining, a lot of people were unhappy to the point where they began to argue with security. A lot of people were still waiting to get into the morning session. Doors finally opened for the afternoon session around 1:40pm, an hour and a half past schedule. I was surprised to see the Bellas and Ambrose STILL signing and taking pictures. They looked exhausted though. Kudos to both Ambrose and the Bellas for getting through everyone.
Session 2 began right away with Goldust and Stardust coming out first. Stardust stole the show at that point by dancing and jumping around. He has the character down to a science. Even Goldust was laughing at his brother. Stardust put on a perplexed look whenever someone handed him Cody Rhodes action figures to sign. He signed everything as Stardust and crossed out Cody Rhodes' face. It was absolutely hilarious. Meeting him was the highlight for me.
Reigns was introduced as "future WWE champion" and he made his way out slowly to a hot reaction. He was happy to greet everyone and was down to earth. Other than the rain and Session 1 being overrun, Ringside fest 11 was a great show and the talent was awesome! Can't wait for next year!
