- Less than one hour after Raw finished taping Monday night in Atlanta, Georgia, WWE announced it would be releasing the show's main ring announcer Justin Roberts after the company elected to not exercise its option to renew his contract. According to Dave Meltzer on Wednesday in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Roberts initially told those close to him that it was strictly a business matter as both parties couldn't come to terms on money. Roberts, however, then said he was told by management that they had decided to go in a new direction with the ring announcing positions.
- Dasha Kuret (a/k/a Dasha Gonzalez) debuts as a backstage announcer this week on WWE NXT—the episode streams tonight at 9:00 p.m. on the WWE Network but is already available for viewing in the WWE NXT section. She was not identified by name.
Dasha has a background in gymnastics, pageants and fitness modeling. She holds the title of Miss Volusia County and Miss UCF 2009 along with having a degree in health sciences from the University of Central Florida. She arrived to the WWE Performance Center in the spring and has been training to wrestle.
