WWE Superstars Recap: Bo Dallas Takes On Zack Ryder, Cesaro Vs. Kofi Kingston
This week's show begins with?a commercial? Well, I guess WWE gave us a little advance warning that was going to happen. On to the show. After the mandatory into packages roll, we head down to ringside.
Zack Ryder vs. Bo Dallas
Ryder enjoyed a big win on last week's show when he took on Heath Slater. Let's see if he can turn it into a trend this week. After they lock up, each guy shows off some basic grappling work and Dallas ends up grabbing the rope to prompt a break. Back into it, the guys trade holds again and Zack gets the better of the exchange. Dallas gets fired up but Ryder stays on top, working him on to the mat. Bo powers out and puts Zack into the ropes, putting Ryder down when the ref calls for a break. From this point on, Dallas stops smiling like a good guy and works straight-up heel. He's all over Zack for a minute or so until Ryder counters with a move off the ropes. Momentum shifts in Ryder's favor and he lands a series of dropkicks to lay out Bo. Dallas escapes a Broski Boot and then hits a running "Bo Dog" and gets the pinfall victory.
Result: Bo Dallas defeats Zack via pinfall.
Dallas takes a victory lap and then WWE re-racks the latest highlights in the Cena/Ambrose storyline and then we revisit Big Show's beef with Rusev. Back to the ring for more action.
Kofi Kingston vs. Cesaro
Props for the dude wearing the EC3 t-shirt at ringside. Kofi visits briefly with him before climbing into the ring. Off the bell, Cesaro tries to get the jump on Kofi and Kingston shakes him loose with a bit of acrobatics. It looks like he'll struggle to match Cesaro's power though, as the big guy works Kofi on to the canvas. When they get back up, Kofi hits a standing dropkick and goes for a quick cover and Cesaro kicks out. He delivers a huge missile dropkick a few moments later when Cesaro chucks him into the corner. Cesaro ends up back on top after some nasty offense on the ring apron and he follows up with hard strikes. Kofi mounts a comeback but Cesaro has his number and doles out some serious punishment. Kofi comes back once more and gets a couple of two-counts but Cesaro slows his roll again. Kingston succeeds in dumping Cesaro outside and does a flip to take him out on the floor, rolling back in to the ring followed by Cesaro. Kofi stays on top, landing the boom drop and missing with the boom drop. Cesaro kicks out of the S.O.S and then tries to set up the big swing but fails. He connects with the uppercut shortly thereafter, laying Kofi down for the count.
Result: Cesaro defeats Kofi via pinfall.
We see a creepy Wyatt promo and they review the main event from Monday Night Raw to round out the show.
