Bad News Barrett Talks His Return, His Favorite Wrestlers Of All Time, Injury, Travel Schedule

WWE is hobbling along without several key names due to injuries, film commitments and hiatus, but that doesn't keep them from participating in the WWE's promotional machine. Bad News Barrett, who was sidelined this Summer with a shoulder injury, appeared on Tim & Sid this week.

The 30+ minute Sportsnet show covered a variety of topics as well as saw Barrett participate in a friendly game. Here are some of the highlights:

What's on his iPod:

"A lot of British stuff: The Stone Roses, Happy Monday, Oasis, Joy Division. A little dated, stuff from the 80's, dated stuff."

The shoulder injury:

"I tried to fight through it and got my ass kicked, and had to go get it cut open and fixed. That was a pretty rough day. I should be back in 4-6 weeks though."

Where Bret Hart ranks all-time in WWE:

"My favorite of all-time is 'The British Bulldog' Davey Boy Smith, but I'm obviously biased because I'm a Brit like him. Number two on my list is Bret 'The Hitman' Hart. Take the biased side of me away, and he's probably the best."

His transition from bare knuckle boxing to being a role model:

"You have to do whatever you're good at. Some people end up being strippers, I was never going to be a stripper, but I ended up being a bare knuckle boxer. I'm much happier being a WWE superstar, I get treated better than when I was a bare knuckle fighter and I get paid a bit better too."

His travel schedule:

"If I get 2 nights a week in my own bed at home I'm doing good. Usually 270 (days a year). (Not knowing where I am) That's a normal day, and that's without any alcohol."

Barrett participated in the "name that wrestler" game, which he won over the show regulars with a clean sweep. He won a toy WWE World Heavyweight Championship for his victory.
