Wiese made multiple appearances for Germany's national team between 2008 and 2012, but more notably, was German club Werder Bremen's No 1 goalkeeper between 2005 and 2012. His contract with German club Hoffenheim was mutually terminated on January 21, 2014 after the 32-year-old suddenly ballooned and put on an incredible amount of muscle. This prompted reports that he was planning to switch trades and pursue a career as a professional wrestler. He has tried out for WWE and claimed in September that he was offered a contract.
"@NotSoAverageJoe: @JRsBBQ any thoughts on ex-goalkeeper Tim Weise??", Jim Ross was asked by a fan today, responding, "I was at his tryout. Lots of charisma. #hopeful."
