J.J. Dillon On Who The Greatest Manager Of All Time Is, His New Book, More

J.J. Dillon was recently interviewed by "Under the Mat Radio" in Baltimore, MD to discuss his book "Wrestlers are like Seagulls." The show airs live every Tuesday from 7pm-9pm EST on blogtalkradio.com/PWPRadio. Below are some highlights, you can check out the full interview here:

Who's the greatest manager ever:

"Bobby 'The Brain' Heenan to me will always be the greatest manager he set the bar to which all the wrestlers are measured. Bobby Heenan is an example of someone who had a great in ring career too."

Why he wanted to write a book:

"My 3 kids were born after I finished working in the offices of Vince McMachon from 1989-1996 and they knew very little of what I've done for the majority of my life. That was my motivating factor because it's hard to make money writing a book about wrestling and thought it was a good idea to tell my life story and keep a record so that when I got older and my kids get older it'll be a permanent record."

How he got into the creative aspect of the business:

"I started getting into the creative side of the business from the beginning because starting so late I realized that I couldn't do that (being a manager) forever. When the opportunity presented itself for me to walk off camera and use all the knowledge and skills that I assembled by strictly being an employee of what was then the WWF it really wasn't a difficult discussion."
