WWE SmackDown: Big Triple-Threat IC Title Match, Ryback Vs. Kane

Welcome to WrestlingINC.com's live coverage and results for SmackDown. Tonight's show was taped on Tuesday in Liverpool, England. Here's an Internet-culled fun fact about Liverpool: Liverpool was the first city in the world to have a lending library, a school of tropical medicine and an American consul. Dazzle your casual acquaintances at their next cocktail party or high tea.

Please spread word of our viewing party and complete results via Facebook and Twitter.

Tonight's show begins with a recap of the Ryback/Cena/Authority drama from Monday Night Raw, which was also recapped on this week's WWE Superstars and probably a bunch of other places, too. Then, business really picks up when Y2J's music hits. As Jericho strolls to the ring, we hear a word or seven from the German announce team. He makes a joke or two, engages briefly with the crowd about WWE Network's failure to launch in the UK and then he introduces The Authority. Steph makes a long, rambling speech about giving the fans what they want, ultimately getting around to putting over the McMahons and The Authority. She asks the ostensibly rhetorical question of who else could run the WWE and Y2J says he could do it. Then he takes a bunch of jabs at Triple H and Steph and rolls the tape of Steph getting chucked into a pool of filth by Vickie Guerrero. Triple H gets pretty honked off and says that he doesn't need anyone's acceptance, adding that The Authority will win at Survivor Series. On his way out of the ring, Trips says he might just erase Jericho from the history books someday. Y2J responds by leading the crowd in that "Hey, hey, hey goodbye!" song to round out the segment. Commercial sign.

Back on the big show, Bray Wyatt heads out to the ring. He's facing one half of the NXT tag champs. Guess which one.

Sin Cara vs. Bray Wyatt

Wyatt comes on strong but struggles just a little against Sin Cara's lucha moves. Wyatt finally blasts Sin Cara with a cross-body and takes over from there. Power moves ensue, followed by Bray's creepy spider-walk. He lays Sin Cara down for Sister Abigail and the three-count is academic.

Result: Bray Wyatt defeats Sin Cara via pinfall.

After the match, Bray cuts a promo calling out to Dean Ambrose and assuring Dean that he can "fix" him. Ambrose hits the ramp and Wyatt retreats but stays just out of reach with a mic, further chiding his rival. After a bit, Wyatt jumps in the ring, they throw blows at one another and Bray exits again, delivering some parting words and capping off an intriguing segment.

After some commercials, we're back in the venue for tag action.

Adam Rose and the Bunny vs. Goldust and Stardust

Stardust starts off by kicking the stuffing out of the Adam Rose. Then he tags in Goldust. Goldust keeps it up until Rose slows his momentum and looks for a tag. Stardust makes it in first but then the Bunny comes in as well. The Bunny gets the jump on Stardust and then gets all fired up, heading up top. Rose wants to tag in but the rabbit waves him off. He comes down on Cody but Stardust puts the knees up and then lands Dark Matter and covers for a pinfall victory.

Result: Goldust and Stardust defeat Adam Rose and the Bunny via pinfall.

Post-match, Rose beats up the Bunny and the crowd expresses their disdain. Let's head to a commercial and press the "reset" button.

After the break, Dolph is interviewed backstage with special emphasis on the ambush by Luke Harper that ended Monday's Raw show. This week he's booked into a triple-threat title match. Dolph says that no matter what, he's on board with Team Cena at Survivor Series. Next up, we get a video package featuring Ryback and a backstage interview in which he doesn't commit to Team Cena at the next PPV. Then, more paid advertisements.

Triple threat elimination match for the IC title: Tyson Kidd vs. Cesaro vs. Dolph Ziggler

Cesaro goes at Ziggler first and puts him on the mat. Kid jumps in and tries for a pin and Dolph rolls him up instead. Then Cesaro looks for a pinfall. WWE breaks for a commercial as Dolph is standing and his opponents are down on the canvas.

After the break, Tyson and Dolph try to suplex Cesaro together but he tosses them both instead. Cesaro then tries to cover Ziggler but Dolph kicks out. He powerbombs Ziggler and Kidd follows up with an elbow and Cesaro tosses him with a gutwrench. Cesaro kicks Kidd and then scouts Ziggler, missing him and hitting the ringpost instead. Ziggler nails Kidd but only gets a near fall. Cesaro puts Dolph in the corner and tries to work him into a back suplex but it doesn't happen. Cesaro goes back to work on Kidd and gets a near fall. Kidd pushes back and Dolph hits Cesaro with a cross-body but can't get the pinfall. He then lands a neckbreaker on Cesaro but still can't seal the deal. Dolph also tries to pin Kidd by Tyson kicks out. The crowd approves.

Cesaro and Kidd battle on the top rope and Cesaro picks up Kidd for a bodyslam but Ziggler gets involved and all three of them go down. Looked like Kidd turned that monkey fist of men into a big monkey flip. Kidd can't get a win with the sharpshooter and Cesaro cleans house but can pin either guy. Time for another break.

Back in the ring, Kidd locks in the sharpshooter on Dolph and then Cesaro puts the crossface on Ziggler for good measure. Kidd breaks the hold and gets all over Cesaro until the big guy gets him out of the ring. Dolph hits Cesaro with a DDT but can't finish him. Kidd comes in and all three guys mix it up and try for pinfalls. Ziggler finally lands a Zig-Zag on Cesaro but Tyson tosses him out and takes the three-count for himself. Now it's Tyson and Dolph. They battle outside with Kidd gaining control and bouncing Dolph around the ring area. Inside the ring, Kidd goes for a cover but Dolph kicks out. Tyson keeps the upper hand until musters the energy Dolph catches him with a superkick off the ropes. Kidd tries again for the sharpshooter and Dolph escapes, delivering a Zig Zag and pinning him for the win. Sheesh. That was crazy good.

Result: Dolph Ziggler retains the title after both competitors are eliminated.

After a commercial break, it's time for the Divas?

Natalya vs. Layla

Natalya lands a few good shots early on but Layla takes over quickly. She's all over Nattie from pillar to post as Summer Rae circles the ring from the outside. Layla works Natalya into a submission hold on the mat until Natalya muscles her way back into the contest. The women end up outside and Natalya slaps Summer. Layla inadvertently takes Summer out when Natalya sidesteps a shot and then the competitors end up back in the ring where Natalya applies the sharpshooter and earns a submission.

Result: Natalya defeats Layla via submission.

After a fast and furious batch of ads and another "New Day" promo, we're back at ringside where the main event is within sight. WWE re-racks the Wyatt/Ambrose drama from earlier tonight and then backstage, we see Bray ambush Ambrose and then cradles Dean's head in his lap. Creepy. Bell time?

Corporate Kane vs. Ryback

Triple H and Steph hunker down at ringside as this one gets underway. The guys lock up after the bell and Ryback shoves Kane. Kane backs the big guy into the corner but Ryback comes out and grapples with Kane again. Kane tries to hang with Ryback but Ryback's strength puts him into the dominant spot for the time being. Kane lands some good offense but Ryback still barrels back time and again, eventually tossing Kane outside.

When we return from break, Ryback still has the match well in hand. He comes down on Kane off the ropes for a near fall and then looks for a big clothesline and eats a bunch of Kane's boot instead. Kane doles out shots to the big guy but can't quite tip the scales enough to garner a victory. Ryback swings momentum back in his favor and gets all fired up, fending off a choke slam and delivering a clothesline that takes down the Big Red Monster. He puts Kane outside but Kane surges back, putting Ryback into the apron and then into the post. Kane finally earns a DQ when he hits Ryback with a chair.

Result: Ryback defeats Kane via DQ.

After the bell, Kane works Ryback over in the ring, following directions from Triple H. Ryback comes back to life and plasters Kane with a ton of chair shots and stares down Triple H as the show fades to black.
