WWE Superstars Results: Jack Swagger Gets A Win, Adam Rose Battles Curtis Axel
After the opening packages roll, we head down to ringside where Adam Rose's posse is in full effect.
Adam Rose vs. Curtis Axel
It's worth noting that female indy star Sassy Stephie is part of Rose's entourage in this episode. The guys lock up after the bell and Adam Rose looks strong, putting Axel in a headlock first and the tossing him onto the mat. Axel puts Rose into the corner and batters him, risking a DQ. He then plants Rose in the center of the ring and crawls towards him, yelling "You're nothing!" After a near fall, they get right back to it and Axel stays in control. Landing a backbreaker, Axel goes up top and misses when he comes down with an elbow. Rose slows Axel's momentum with a spinebuster but Curtis roars back until he's distracted by the bunny. A few moves later, Rose finishes Axel off with the three-count.
Result: Adam Rose defeats Curtis Axel via pinfall.
Recaps roll covering Mr. McMahon's return to Monday Night Raw and recent developments in the Mark Henry/Big Show rivalry.
Jack Swagger vs. Heath Slater
True to form, Heath Slater is fired up for this one. Swagger comes out swinging, though, planting Slater on the mat with a few slams. Slater tries to out-grapple Swagger to no avail. Slater talks trash to Zeb Coulter on the outside for a sec and then gets back in the ring where he's dominated by Swagger. Swagger works Heath over in the corner and slings him across the ring but Slater tips the scales with a well-timed kick and gets on top of things for a short stretch. Jack dumps Heath outside with a big clothesline. Heath returns the favor a short time later, dumping Swagger outside and then following up with a baseball slide. Slater beats on Swagger outside and then brings him back inside for some mat work. He looks to put Swagger away with a flying kick off the ropes but Swagger kicks out and the match rolls on as Slater does some more work on the canvas. Heath remains in control for the next few minutes until Swagger gets a second wind and hits the Swagger bomb. Slater kicks out after a near fall and Swagger tries for the Patriot Lock but Heath escapes. After Swagger misses an attempt at a superplex, Slater tries to come at him off the top rope and Jack catches him in the Patriot Lock, prompting a quick tapout.
Result: Jack Swagger defeats Heath Slater via submission.
