More Details On The Brock Lesnar Merchandise Story And Sheamus Possibly Getting Pushed

- We noted a few days ago via Bryan Alvarez of F4Wonline.com that WWE's merchandise department had received word to not produce any new Brock Lesnar merchandise and if they had any earmarked for him, to produce it for Sheamus. This added to speculation that WWE is expecting Lesnar to leave after WrestleMania 31.

I was later contacted by a WWE spokesperson, who said the report is not true at all.

In an update, The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that it was a licensing partner of WWE's that was told not to do new Lesnar merchandise. They were also told that for group shot merchandise, which would include all top stars together, to take Lesnar out and replace him with Sheamus. This was not told to WWE's internal merchandise department but companies that work with them on creating new merchandise.

According to those close to the situation, this does not indicate that Lesnar is leaving after WrestleMania 31 but since he's not re-signed past that point, third-party companies were told not to produce anything new just to be on the safe side. Apparently they were told this in regards to merchandise that would be released after WrestleMania 31.
