Jim Ross Blogs On Royal Rumble Backlash, If Daniel Bryan Should Have Been In The Match, Shamrock
Jim Ross posted his latest blog at JRsBarBQ.com. Here are some highlights:
Fan backlash to the Royal Rumble:
"The negativity that I'm receiving on our Q&A's and on Twitter @JRsBBQ regarding the Royal Rumble is getting silly. If someone asks my take on the WWE Royal Rumble and how it ended and I don't agree exactly with their opinion then I'm a WWE sycophant. I am stating facts from my 40 years in the business and not knee jerking my way into being incoherent. It's mighty easy to book pro wrestling storylines after the fact. As easy as it is to make a wrong turn it's just as easy to get back on the right path. I learned years ago that there are multiple ways to do the right thing while compiling wrestling storylines and it's just as easy if not easier to pick virtually any idea a part. To say that wrestling creative is subjective might be the understatement of the year."
If Daniel Bryan should have been in the match:
"I actually picked Daniel Bryan to win the Rumble on my last foxsports.com column but in hindsight and based on how things worked out with Roman Reigns winning, I would not have put DB even in the match. Again, that's hindsight and that point of view is normally pretty accurate."
His upcoming podcast with Ken Shamrock:
"Finishing prep for the Ken Shamrock conversation tonight for a future Ross Report Podcast. Should be interesting."
Much more is contained in Ross' latest blog, including his thoughts on the Daniel Bryan / Roman Reigns controversy overshadowing the WWE title match, WWE Network reaching 1 million subscribers, TNA increasing their audience on Destination America and much more.
