Steve Austin On What Roman Reigns Need To Be A Top Guy, If He'll Get There
With rumors that Roman Reigns could be slotted to take over the reigns as the face of the WWE, he's face criticism and questions as to whether he's ready for that role or not. On his latest Unleashed podcast, Stone Cold Steve Austin weighed in with his thoughts.
"He has all the makings of a superstar, (but) they need to stop scripting his promos and just let him do his thing," Austin said. "He needs a little more experience in the ring. He needs to learn to grab a body part. I like a lot of that guy's game."
Austin was very complimentary of Reigns, but said everything needs to come together in order for him to work as the next major star in the WWE.
"When you put it all together he's a superstar, but to be the guy you need a good work rate. You need to be able to tell a story. He's just lacking a little bit on the offensive arsenal and salesmanship. He's still relatively green, but I'm betting that he'll make it and he'll be a big star," said Austin. "WWE can put a rocket ship on anybody and push them straight to the moon, but if you can't do your end of it you won't get as high as they intended."
