Taz Announcement, New Kurt Angle Reality Show, News On If Reality TV Changes Are For Impact
- Regarding reports of Impact Wrestling having more of a heavy reality TV theme to it and to have wrestlers filmed out of character backstage and entering the building, it should be noted that the backstage footage may be used for the new TNA: Unlocked series hosted by Mike Tenay rather than for Impact.
As noted last month, the new series will debut on Saturday, January 17th at 10pm ET on Destination America and will feature "an enhanced experience" with match facts and stats, "as well as bonus commentary and exclusive footage taking fans deeper into the intriguing characters, captivating stories and fascinating personal lives of the TNA Superstars."
- As noted earlier, TNA announced that Kurt Angle will be making a big announcement on tonight's Impact Wrestling. I'm not sure if this is related or not, however Angle has been filming for a new reality show centered around Olympic wrestling hopefuls.
- I noted last month that Taz had signed with CBS Radio for his new podcast, which dropped today with guest Adam "Edge" Copeland. CBS made the announcement official today with the launch of the podcast network "Play.It." You can listen to Taz's podcast on Play It or iTunes. Taz commented on the CBS signing on his Twitter today:
