UFC Champion Calls CM Punk "A Great Athlete," Urijah Faber Won't Fight TJ Dillashaw

- UFC Lightweight champion Anthony "Showtime" Pettis spoke to MMA Junkie about his new high-profile teammate CM Punk, and had kind words to share about the former WWE Champion.

"He hasn't trained with the team yet," Pettis told MMAjunkie this week. "He's doing private lessons with Duke and my jiu-jitsu coach. He's definitely a great athlete. It's just when it comes to MMA you've got to put it all together. His striking is going to need some improvement. His jiu-jitsu is getting improvement. He's going to get improvement everywhere with the team, but we just want to take it slow, and he agrees."

Pettis said that Punk came in with no ego, and was willing to learn.

- Despite UFC President Dana White saying otherwise last week, former WEC Champion Urijah Faber says that he doesn't plan on fighting teammate and UFC Bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw.

"My gut instinct is no, I wouldn't fight T.J.," Faber said on The MMA Hour on Monday. "Dana came out and said that and he hadn't even spoken to me about it," Faber said. "Then I saw him afterwards and he never said anything about it."
