WWE Smackdown Results (1/15): Daniel Bryan's Return, Big 6-Man Main Event, Intercontinental Title

- Byron Saxton introduces Daniel Bryan. Bryan says he's ready to fight. Saxton replays the footage of Kane injuring Daniel Bryan and putting him on the shelf. Bryan says he's taking this seriously, and he's going to beat Kane, win the Royal Rumble, and then take the WWE World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania.

Triple H, Big Show, Seth Rollins and J&J Security all come to the ring with Kane.

Daniel Bryan vs. Kane (w/ The Authority)

Daniel Bryan goes right at Kane, but Kane drops him with a couple of heavy strikes. Bryan drop toe holds Kane into the buckle and kicks Kane in the face.

Kane fights back and hits a big uppercut and a neckbreaker for two. Kane applies a cravate and lands a big boot when Bryan tries to fight out of it, but just gets two.

Kane drives knees to Bryan's body, but Bryan pulls down the top rope, sending Kane over. Bryan hits a suicide dropkick, but eats an uppercut to the throat while jumping off the apron before the commercial.

Back from the break Kane is still working over Bryan's neck. A corner clothesline and a side slam gets a two count before Bryan kicks out. The two are on the top rope and Bryan battles out of a superplex and hits a cross body for two.

Daniel Bryan scores with his comeback clothesline and a great series of kicks to Kane, but only gets two. Kane goes for a clothesline but Bryan applies the Yes Lock. J&J security interfere, but Bryan fights them off.

Winner: Daniel Bryan via DQ

Bryan also fights off Big Show and avoids Seth Rollins. The Authority goes after him, but Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose make the save! In true Smackdown fashion, Triple H makes a six man-tag main event featuring Bryan, Reigns and Ambrose vs. Big Show, Kane and Rollins.

- We get a Randy Savage Hall of Fame video package.

Usos & Naomi vs. Miz, Mizdown & Alicia Fox

Miz with a shoulderblock, but it doesn't do much as the Usos hit a double elbowdrop, which Sandow also sells. Miz gets bounced from the ring, and Jey lands a suicide dive on him.

Back in the ring, the crowd chants for Mizdow, who gets tagged in. Alicia gets the heat and tags him out. Naomi hits the ring and takes it to Fox, landing a flying cross body for two before tagging Jey.

Jey eats a big boot and some stomps, but Uso counters witha clothesline that Mizdow sells as well. Jimmy Uso is tagged in and hits big punches and a Samoan drop. He misses the Rikishi hip bump but lands Whisper in the Wind, which only gets two before Fox breaks it up.

Uso hits Mizdow with a superkick, who took the blow for Miz. Miz with the Skull Crushing Finale for the win!

Winner: Miz, Damien Mizdow & Alicia Fox via pinfall (Skull Crushing Finale)

- Roman Reigns cuts a backstage promo with Renee Young saying he likes Ambrose and doesn't have a problem with Bryan, but at the Rumble he's on his own.

- Paul Heyman comes out looking upset. He's mad that Rollins attacked Lesnar on Raw. Rollins comes out with J&J Security and says he's sick of everyone being scared of Lesnar.

Rollins says he's cashing in Money in the Bank right now. Paul Heyman says Lesnar isn't there. Rollins instead says he's going to Curb Stomp Heyman. Paul Heyman isn't buying it, and tells Rollins to think of something original because it won't make him tougher.

Rollins says he doesn't want to look tough, he just wants to eliminate Brock Lesnar's brains. Heyman says the Authority has been removed from power once, and it can happen again. Since he's been back he's gained power every single day.

Heyman talks his way out of a curb stomp.

Nikki Bella (w/ Brie Bella) vs. Natalya (w/ Paige

Bella starts with a nice jumping armbreaker and follows up with a hammerlock. She slams Natalya to the mat, gets a one count and switches to a short arm scissors. Natalya battles out and slams Nikki to the mat.

Nikki runs into the turnbuckle and gets snapmares. Natalya runs over Nikki's back, hits a dropkick and a big clothesline for two. Brie tries to interfere but causes a distraction that allows Paige to strike Nikki. Natalya locks on the Sharpshooter for the win.

Winner: Natalya via submission (Sharpshooter)

- Kane and Big Show both announce they're in the Royal Rumble.

Intercontinental Championship
Bad News Barrett (c) vs. Sin Cara

Cara immediately tries to roll up Barrett but gets two. BNB immediately kicks Cara and takes advantage. BNB locks on a chinlock, but Cara hits a springboard headbutt and springboard cross body for two.

Barrett hits some strikes and tosses Cara to the apron, and then lands the Winds of Change. Sin Cara rolls through and lands a Rampage powerbomb on the much larger Barrett! Wow! He misses the Swanton and BNB gets up and hits the Bull Hammer to retain.

Winner: Bad News Barrett via pinfall (Bull Hammer) to retain the Intercontinental Championship

- Ambrose is backstage and says anyone can win the Royal Rumble.

Daniel Bryan, Roman Reigns & Dean Ambrose vs. Kane, Big Show & Seth Rollins (w/ J&J Security)

Amrbose takes advantage early and puts the boots to Rollins. Reigns is tagged in, and promptly lands a vertical suplex on his former partner Rollins. Rollins breaks away and tags Kane.

Kane with a shoulder block and a headlock, but Reigns counters with a back suplex. Kane lands right hands, but then walks righ into a jumping clothesline from Reigns. Bryan is tagged in and the crowd goes nuts.

Bryan kicks Kane as the crowd chants along. Kane dumps Bryan to the outside as The Authority converges on Bryan. Ambrose and Reigns make the save and they all clean house as we go to commercial.

Back from the break Ambrose is working over Rollins, culminating in a big dropkick. He delivers big punches and a boot in the corner, but gets knocked off the top rope. He ends up hung in the top rope, where Rollins attacks Ambrose's injured knee and tags in Big Show.

Big Show applies a toe-hold variation on Ambrose, working that knee. Rollins is tagged back in and hacks away at Ambrose. He's taken to the Authority corners and peppered with shots as Show is tagged in. A big body slam from Show floors Ambrose, and Show drops a huge elbow for two.

Kane and Rollins both get tags, and the sustained beat down on Ambrose continues. Rollins taunts Ambrose and gets smacked for hit. Kane is in and Ambrose rebounds with a clothesline! Ambrose is cut off right before he makes the tag, but dumps Rollins over the top rope.

Show knocks Ambrose down, but Reigns blasts Show. Ambrose makes the hot tag to Bryan, who takes everyone out!! Suicide dive, big dropkick in the corner, top rope Frankensteiner to Rollins but only a two count!

Kane comes in and chokeslams Bryan, but Reigns breaks it up. Reigns then tackles Show over the table as Bryan puts the Yes lock on Kane. Rollins breaks it up, but Ambrose is hitting everyone in sight, including J&J. Ambrose dives onto Rollins and J&J outside!

Kane sets up for the Tombstone, but Bryan breaks out and hits the running knee for the win!

Winners: Daniel Bryan, Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose via pinfall (running knee)

- Triple H comes out and says Kane deserves a rematch next week on Smackdown, with Bryan's spot in the Rumble on the line!
