Road Warrior Animal's Son Responds To Ascension Promo, Mick Foley Comes Clean, Ric Flair, Lawler

- WWE announcer Scott Stanford interviewed WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley on PIX 11 News in New York City. During the interview, Stanford asked Mick Foley about "wing-gate."

"I was not cheating in an attempt to win," Foley said. "I realized that I was in with real world class competitive eaters. Once I saw that there were no wet naps on the table, I realized I may have been in over my head. After I had done what I thought was a great job of devouring about twenty-four wings, I saw the woman next to me – Molly – had eaten over triple my amount. I realized I had no choice of winning. The Wells Fargo Center kept showing a video of a past competitor projectile vomiting. And I realized, that's going to be me, that's going to be my legacy in the great sport of competitive eating. So I just opted to cheat with the intention of getting caught. It would be like Angelo Dundee throwing in the towel for a fighter? I didn't know that my actions would bring such disgrace to the great sport of competitive eating, and for that I'm ashamed and sorry."

- Road Warrior Animal's son, St. Louis Rams middle linebacker James Laurinaitis, was recently interviewed by the Primetime crew at Super Bowl XLIX's Radio Row on InsideSTL.com. During the interview Laurinaitis noted that he hasn't watched much pro wrestling since his father left the business and that he didn't know who won the Royal Rumble. He had heard about The Ascension's promo ripping the Road Warriors, which he called "laughable." He said that if Hawk was still alive, Animal would probably go back to WWE to work a program with The Ascension.

- The Memphis Grizzlies hosted a "wrestling night" last night for their game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
