WWE Legends Talk About Sting Vs. Triple H At WrestleMania, Sting In WCW, Triple H's WCW Claims
This week's sitdown interview with Michael Cole features WWE producers and Legends Michael "PS" Hayes and Arn Anderson talking about Sting vs. Triple H. Below are highlights:
* Arn talked about how Sting grew in WCW, in every way imaginable. Arn said Sting grew into who he is today while with WCW. Arn said Sting was the first guy in the door and the first guy out at the end of the night.
* Hayes talked about meeting Sting before his WCW days and said he had a drive from the get-go, a desire to get to the top. Hayes Sting got everyone's attention after his legendary 45 minute match with Ric Flair. Arn said it was a hard fought 45 minutes, not just Flair leading Sting through a match.
* Hayes talked about how experienced Triple H is at WrestleMania and said that will benefit him as Sting is making his WrestleMania debut. Hayes believes they will both go into WrestleMania prepared but Sting has never had that experience of being at WrestleMania.
* Arn doesn't agree with Triple H that the WCW talent pool tried to take out the WWE talent pool. Arn blames it on the higher-ups in the companies. Arn said the fans were the winners in the Monday Night War. Cole asked Hayes if he agrees with Triple H that WWE fans shouldn't root for Sting in this match. Hayes said Triple H is going to play mind games with Sting and if you're a fan of this industry, you're going to be interested in this match. Hayes believes some WWE fans who have never seen Sting will be won over by his presence.
* Cole asked for their predictions. Hayes said it will come down to who makes the fewest mistakes. Arn pointed out how they are alike. He said it's not about what's left of WCW vs. WWE. Arn said a lot of fans are upset with Triple H's abuse of power and Sting looks like the guy stepping up to do something about it.
