Dean Ambrose Talks His Ring Gear, IC Title Not Being As Important As In The Past, US Title Run

Dean Ambrose appeared on Between the Ropes to promote today's WrestleMania and his ladder match. You can read the highlights below, and see the full video above:

* Ambrose says the only way to approach a ladder match is to throw your fear by the wayside. He said it's scary when you climb up before the match and you have to trust that you'll have the adrenaline when it's time for the show.

* Dean Ambrose says he doesn't think WWE would let him bring barbed wire back in the WWE. He's had that conversation once or twice and it didn't go well.

* Ambrose doesn't think the Intercontinental Title has been treated the same way in the past few years as it was in the 80's and 90's. He compared it more in the old days to the American and National League, it was an important title, but a different kind.

* Ambrose says no disrespect to Bad News Barrett, but even though he's a five time champion, the Intercontinental title hasn't been portrayed as being important.

* Ambrose thinks he, Dolph Ziggler and Daniel Bryan can main event shows for the Intercontinental Championship.

* He says that it doesn't make sense to have a championship that people don't care about. He brought up his U.S. Title run as an example.

* His solution to make the Intercontinental Title mean more is to "just do it."

* Portraying and carrying a championship are important. He says the guy makes the championship, no the other way around.

* When asked about The Shield, he says he doesn't mind it because now all of his success belongs to him. He doesn't have to worry about making anyone standing next to him look good.

* He said it was cool to go on last at Hell In A Call, but he didn't even notice it because they kept getting bumped up.

* Ambrose talks about how Luke Harper dresses like him. He says the difference is Harper just doesn't change his clothes. He says Harper wears "crappy Bugle Boys." He plugs his own jeans, which are called Relentless.

* He says that maybe Tapout makes bunkhouse gear he can wear.
