Finn Balor Talks About Almost Not Joining WWE, What Worries He Had, Losing The Prince Devitt Name

Finn Balor appeared on Between the Ropes and spoke about his decision to join WWE, and what worries he had

* Balor says he's loving the WrestleMania experience, but has never been to one before.

* Balor says he lived a very comfortable life before WWE and was on the fence about even coming over.

* He says he was happy in NJPW and the indies, but didn't want to look back with regret. He says joining WWE was the best decision he's ever made.

* He was worried he wouldn't be allowed to do certain things, but said Road Dogg immediately told him to just be himself and he'd be fine.

* Balor says it's so different in WWE because people help you, and other places everything else is on you personally.

* He says that what WWE didn't show during his debut is that they put "Prince Devitt" on the big screen before switching it to Finn Balor.

* Losing the Prince Devitt name was tough for him because he's established Devitt. He says now he's completely attached to Finn Balor.

* The Finn Balor name came about because they wanted to make his character darker. Finn came from Finn McCool.

* Danny Best was one of the names that were presented to him before they decided upon Finn Balor.

* Balor is asked how he decides when he'll paint himself up. He says when the paint comes on it's business time. He says he has to use it sparingly.

* Balor says when he wrestled in Japan, he went home to Ireland. There wasn't a lot of celebrity to it and he could lead a double life well. He says that has changed in America.

* Moving to America has been a culture shock. He learned to drive in America. He says when he was younger he couldn't afford it, and as he got older he invested his money in wrestling. He says he passed his driver's test and has a car now.

* Balor talks about how much space there is in America.

* Balor says he's ready to go on the road and tour with NXT. He says he's getting a little bit of cabin fever being in Orlando.

* Balor will be going with WWE on the UK Tour.

* He says he's excited for Undertaker's entrance, Brock Lesnar, the ladder match and Seth Rollins vs. Randy Orton.

* Balor says he enjoys one beer a week.

* Balor says it's difficult to watch any wrestling without wanting to get involved.

* He expresses his interest in facing Sami Zayn, whether it's in NXT or on the main roster.

* Balor says he doesn't see a competition between NXT and WWE. He says NXT is worrying about themselves and creating a new high in the business.
