Kevin Owens Injury Update, Director Praises John Cena, Jason Albert On NXT Events Selling Out
- Director Judd Apatow did a Facebook chat during SXSW this weekend to promote his Trainwreck movie, which features John Cena, and commented on how funny Cena is when asked about working with him. Apatow said:
"John Cena is ridiculously funny. So funny that it kind of makes me angry because that is my department — and I am not a strong wrestler."
- As noted, WWE NXT Champion Kevin Owens underwent a partial meniscectomy for a knee injury late last week. Owens told WWE.com that he has already began physical therapy at the WWE Performance Center but no timetable was given for his ring return. Owens tweeted:
https://t.co/JH0WB7K5hE Yes, I had knee surgery. No, it won't slow me down. Why? Because I'm Kevin Owens, silly! #SoonToBeBetterThanEver

- As noted, the WWE NXT live event set for California during WrestleMania 31 quickly sold out. New NXT head trainer Jason "Tensai" Albert and Owens tweeted the following on the news:
#NXTSanJose sells out in a little more than 2 hrs. That's right 4,100 seats. #NXT is truly #TAKINGOVER. Proud of all our men and women!

4100 tickets sold in 2 hours for @WWENXT in San Jose, probably because it's my 1st time back in California since July 2014?Yeah, that's it!
