Major Issues For Huge AAA Event Featuring Rey Mysterio, Schedule Update, Major Star Off The Card
AAA was originally supposed to hold it's huge Rey de Reyes show Sunday evening. The event had to be postponed until Monday due to rain, and the event was outdoors at the Plaza de Toror Nueva Progreso bullfighting arena in Guadalajara.
Due to the issue, the event was rescheduled for Monday evening, going head-to-head with WWE Raw. Unfortunately for AAA, the event had to be rescheduled yet again, this time due to permit issues.
AAA had opted to move the event to Auditorio Benito Juarez in Zapopan. The venue is only 15 minutes away from the original site, and is an indoor facility. AAA wasn't able to secure the proper permits for the show due to a national holiday.
The company will hope the third time is a charm as they've set the event for this Wednesday, still in Zapopan. During the rescheduling announcement, it was also revealed that Alberto El Patron vs. Brian Cage had been pulled from the card.
The show will feature Rey Mysterio's first post-WWE match, as he teams up with the original Sin Cara, Myzteziz to take on El Hijo pel Perro Aguayo and Lucha Underground's Pentagon Jr. Familiar names such as Texano Jr, Jack Evans, Fenix, Drago and El Mesias are also booked on the show.
