More On Hideo Itami's Big Win, WrestleMania Trivia Note On Sting, Interest In WrestleMania Matches
- WWE has updated their poll asking fans which WrestleMania 31 match they are most excited to see on Sunday. With almost 7,000 votes, Sting vs. Triple H is leading with 32%. Roman Reigns vs. WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar is next with 23%, Bray Wyatt vs. The Undertaker has 19% and the Intercontinental Title Ladder Match has 13%. The rest are at under 10%. The Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royall has just 1% and the Fatal 4 Way for the WWE Tag Team Titles has 0%.
- In a bit of trivia, reader Stan pointed out that fifty-six year old Sting will make history as the oldest WrestleMania rookie to make his debut on the big stage when he faces Triple H at WrestleMania 31 on Sunday.
- As noted, Hideo Itami had a photo op with 2015 WWE Hall of Famer Tatsumi Fujinami and Triple H backstage at Axxess last night after winning the NXT tournament. Itami was actually greeted by Fujinami and Triple H in front of the crowd after he defeated Finn Balor in the finals. Fujinami raised Itami's arms in victory and made the exit with him. Itami told Corey Graves that Fujinami was a legend in Japan and he was very honored to have him there. Itami also commented on being in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal on Sunday:
"I'm not finished. The Battle Royal? I'm going to win."
