Roman Reigns And Paul Heyman On If They Would Work Together, Brock Lesnar, Next Generation, More

Both Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman were interviewed by Michelle Beadle of Grantland to promote this weekend's WrestleMania event. The two discussed several topics including wrestling being real and Reigns' quick jump to the top of WWE. The highlights of the interview are below:

* Paul Heyman started by saying he admires Roman Reigns, and talks about his history with Reigns' family. He says he and Reigns don't hate each other and that's an antiquated view of the business.

* Heyman says if he wasn't exclusive to Brock Lesnar, he'd be doing everything to possible to sign him. Reigns says that anything is possible within the realm of the WWE.

* Heyman said that he gave Lesnar the same advice in the WWE than he did in the UFC, saying his opponents are trying to make his family's life less luxurious.

* Beadle asks Reigns about his quick ascension to the top in WWE and Reigns says he loves it. He wants to accomplish as much in his life as possible.

* Reigns says social media allows people to talk smack. He says now people are taught to talk smack before they're taught to defend themselves.

* Heyman says he always tries to go to the younger generation to help them, because so many people helped him when he was young. Heyman says he's given Reigns the advice to "be himself."

* Paul Heyman says we live in a reality era where people want to see other people as opposed to fake characters.

* Reigns says that fans have access to so much information that not having to play too much of a character makes things easier for him.

* Heyman says you can tell almost right away when a character will hit or miss. Beadle brings up Stone Cold Steve Austin as an exception.

* Beadle asks how long Reigns would have given it before giving up before packing it up. He said he encountered that in the NFL, but his team wasn't in the NFL, it was the WWE.

* Paul Heyman said he was offered The Rock as a talent for ECW when he was Flex Kavana. He said he jumped at the opportunity, but the next day he was called and said Vince McMahon wanted him.

* Reigns is asked about people saying wrestling is fake. He said they don't lie about what it is, but his injuries are real. He says he's had nerve damage, a hernia and a torn meniscus. He says he's been hurt more wrestling than in football.

* Heyman says that when someone says "Wrestling isn't real," that's their entire argument. He said when he was younger that type of comment started a bar fight.

* Heyman said that Rick Rude was asked by a governor if wrestling was real and he said "well, it's like a woman's orgasm. Only the person doing it know's for sure."
