Roman Reigns Says He Knew Rumble Reaction Was Coming, Talks About The Rock, Fan Criticism, More
Roman Reigns appeared on this morning's I on 107.9 The End to talk about his big match with Brock Lesnar at this weekend's WrestleMania. He also spoke about the criticism he's had from the fans, and several other topics. Here are the highlights:
* Roman Reigns says he's living his dream and is looking forward to the main event this Sunday.
* He says he's really fortunate doing this in front of his family. He said that his family migrated from the islands to the west coast to Florida, but he has a lot of family still out there.
* Reigns is asked what went through his head after the Royal Rumble. Reigns says that he reads a lot online and had a feeling it was going to happen, but didn't think it would be that bad.
* He said he had to digest what was going on, and he didn't picture that moment being like that. He said he can't change it and it was overwhelming and emotional.
* Reigns says The Rock has helped him out a lot. He said that The Rock views everything as a blessing after experiencing so many different things. He says he knows he can trust Rock because he knows he's been through the same things.
* Reigns said that the fan reaction at the Royal Rumble motivated him to get better, but he's not mad at the fans. He wants to connect with the fans, not push them away.
* Reigns says he's been wrestling for almost five years, so it's been a fast ascension for him. He says he's just scratching the surface and improving and learning.
* He says no matter what, he's enjoying the process. Positive reinforcement doesn't happen a lot these days because people can jump on the internet and criticize anyone these days.
* Reigns says Paul Heyman really has known his family forever, and has given him several pictures of his family from years ago.
