The Great Khali Says He's Healthy Enough To Return To WWE, Teases WrestleMania Appearance, More

- Thanks to Dev Simar for sending word that The Tribune News Service in Punjab, India has an article in today's newspaper about former WWE Superstar The Great Khali. The article notes that Khali has been recovering from surgery on his right leg. Khali was in Chandigarh this week to meet with the Punjab Armed Police officials of the 82nd battalion.

Khali encouraged young police recruits to get into sports and live a healthy lifestyle. He also invited them to join his wrestling academy in Jalandhar, where they will offer free training to recruits. He's also opening another school in the Amin village near Kurukshetra along with international volleyball star Balwan Singh and noted that WWE has asked him to refer three talents per year from his academies.

Khali also promised to people in attendance that he will return to WWE's WrestleMania and one day defeat The Undertaker. Khali told people at the event that he is healthy enough to get back in a WWE ring and will do so.

Khali noted that he will be in India for two more weeks before returning to the United States but will return soon for a longer stay to oversee his schools. Khali commented on the future of pro wrestling in India:

"I have struggled hard to attain this fame. I used to sleep on floor and face racial abuse. I was an unknown face before I joined the WWE. The youth here needs proper guidance to be famous. Punjab is known for its past achievements in sports, especially wrestling, however, the name is diminishing because there is dearth of control."
