The Rock's Production Company Signs Big Deal With Spike TV, One Reason Spike Dropped TNA

- The Hollywood Reporter notes that Spike TV announced at their upfront presentation today that they have signed an overall deal with The Rock and his $7 Bucks Productions, which Rock owns with his ex-wife Dany Garcia. The company will produce programming from live events, specials, sports and initiatives surrounding troops and veterans for Spike.

Spike used their presentation today to unveil a new logo and tagline in an attempt to appeal more to men and women instead of their previous demographic. This is part of the reason they phased TNA and pro wrestling out. The new tagline is "Spike: The Ones to Watch."
