Update On Why WWE Made Change To Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal, WrestleMania Start Times

- As noted, WWE has moved the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal to the WrestleMania 31 Kickoff Pre-show on Sunday. The Fatal 4 Way for the WWE Tag Team Titles with The Usos vs. The New Day vs. Los Matadores vs. Tyson Kidd and Cesaro is also still on the pre-show.

F4Wonline.com reports that the change was made due to officials timing out the show. After time was given to the big matches and angles, they apparently had to cut a match from the main card.

While Michael Cole mentioned on WWE Today that the pre-show starts at 6pm EST, that is not the case as it's still scheduled to begin at 5pm EST. However, Levi's Stadium confirmed today that the show will start at 3:30pm local time, which is 6:30pm EST, just 30 minutes before the actual four-hour WrestleMania pay-per-view begins. It's very unlikely that they could get the Fatal 4 Way and the Battle Royal done in 30 minutes. They could move the start time up from 3:30pm local time as gates open at 1:30pm local time, which would be 4:30pm EST, just 30 minutes before they go on the air.

F4Wonline.com noted that they were told that the show was going to begin with the Fatal 4 Way at 6:30pm EST but that is probably going to change. WWE's official announcement on the Battle Royal change did note that it will take place during the second hour of the pre-show.
