WWE SmackDown Results (3/5): Dean Ambrose & Dolph Ziggler Tag, AJ Lee Returns To The Ring
Dolph Ziggler makes his way to the ring with the Intercontinental title around his waist, the most recent superstar to steal the championship. He says he never got his IC title rematch after he won at Survivor Series. He officially enters the ladder match at WrestleMania. He tries insinuates Daniel Bryan should join the match, but Bad News Barrett comes out instead.
Barrett wants his title back. He tells Ziggler to give it back or he'll knock Ziggler out. Harper appears and attacks Ziggler. Barrett grabs the title but Harper steps on it. They have a tug-o-war until Ziggler jumps them. Ambrose comes out to make the save and the faces take out the heels.
R-Truth appears again and does an Eddie Murphy Beverly Hills Cop shoulder roll, steals the title and crawls under the ring.
Cesaro & Tyson Kidd (w/ Natalya) vs. Los Matadores (w/ Torito)
Kidd & Cesaro immediately double team Fernando, but he hits a flying headscissors and tags Diego. Things don't go well for Diego, as he gets a backbreaker and a double foot stomp to his chest.
Cesaro tries to put his foot on the ropes for a roll up but Fernando kicks out. Cesaro brings the bull in the ring but gets kicked. Natalya pulls Torito out and Cesaro/Kidd hit a Swing/dropkick for the win.
Winners: Cesaro & Kidd via pinfall (Cesaro Swing/dropkick)
- Kane runs into Big Show backstage. Big Show says he's entering the Andre the Giant battle royal and when he wins, he's replacing Andre's head with his own. Kane also enters.
Kane (w/ Big Show) vs. Ryback
Ryback fires off a big jumping shoulderblock, but gets caught with an uppercut off the top rope and Kane takes control of the match. Ryback fights back with a belly-to-belly suplex and a second rope splash that sets up a spinebuster. Ryback hits the Meat Hook for the win.
Winner: Ryback via pinfall (Meat Hook)
Kane is mad at Big Show after the match. Show tried to distract Ryback but it failed. Kane puts Big Show in a match with Ryback immediately.
Ryback vs. Big Show (w/ Kane)
Show pummels Ryback into the corner and clubs away on the Big Guy's back before clotheslining him. A big body slam follows, as Big Show is relentless.
Finally Ryback gets some offense when Show misses a corner charge, and gets shouldered repeatedly in the corner. Ryback hits a spinebuster and sets up for the Meat Hook but Kane causes a distraction. Big Show hits a WMD and that's a wrap.
Winner: Big Show via pinfall (WMD)

Brie Bella (w/ Nikki Bella) vs. AJ Lee (w/ Paige)
AJ catches Brie with double knees and an arm drag to start things out. She continues to work the arm, but abandons that game plan and steamrolls Brie. She lands a really cool baseball slide trip and a body press off the top rope.
Brie takes advantage by countering AJ, but only gets a two count. Brie locks on an arm trapped chinlock, but AJ breaks free. There's some good action going on in the ring between these two right now.
AJ catches Brie with a roll-up, but only gets two and eats a clothesline. Brie goes right back to work on the head of AJ Lee, landing a nice DDT that only gets a two count. She follows up with a Mr. Perfect neckbreaker, but AJ Lee just won't stay down for the three count. Brie connects with her knee in the ropes, but AJ moves away from a dropkick.
AJ with a splash in the corner and a bad looking neckbreaker sets up a series of kicks that knock Brie to the outside. Paige goes up to Brie and Nikki rushes to her sister's aid. Back inside, AJ locks on the Black Widow. Nikki tries to interfere but Paige stops it and Brie taps out. Pretty decent match. This should happen on Raw more.
Winner: AJ Lee via submission (Black Widow)
- Renee Young asks Daniel Bryan about the IC title match. He says that match could steal the show, and he can't wait to see who ends up with the IC title tonight.
Miz & Mizdow vs. The New Day (w/ Xavier Woods)
Miz gets caught with a big back elbow from Kofi, but turns the tides with a sick DDT. The crowd chants for MizDow, but Miz refuses to tag him in and gets dropkicked.
Mizdow tags himself in and cleans house, all while still wearing his sunglasses. Miz berates him and makes MizDow leave.New Day hits the Midnight Hour for the win.
Winners: The New Day via pinfall (Midnight Hour)
- Roman Reigns is backstage and says that Brock Lesnar will surely hurt him at WrestleMania, but he's still winning.
Rusev (w/ Lana) vs. Jack Swagger
Rusev tosses Swagger outside to start the match, but Swagger does the same to him as we take an immediate commercial break.
Back from the commercial, Rusev is firmly in control as he beats Swagger down with repeated stomps. Rusev keeps up the slow pace by applying a chinlock on Swagger.
Swagger busts out and clocks Rusev with a knee and a big clothesline, before locking in the Patriot Lock. Rusev quickly gets to the ropes, but is knocked outside shortly after. When Swagger re-enters the ring, he's caught with a kick and taps out to the Accolade.
Winner: Rusev via submission (The Accolade)
Curtis Axel is on the big screen and says AxelMania is facing him Monday, and when he wins, he wants a US Title match at WrestleMania.
- Cameron, Summer Rae and Eva Marie are backstage arguing over who should get more attention. Cool, I guess.
Dean Ambrose & Dolph Ziggler vs. Luke Harper & Bad News Barrett
Harper and Ziggler start off in the ring trading headlocks until Harper hits a clothesline, only to be answered with a Ziggler dropkick. Harper then lands a big flapjack, but both competitors tag their partners.
Ambrose dominates Bad News Barrett with clotheslines and a top rope elbow. R-Truth is on commentary singing Outkast songs, and it's amazing how entertaining he's been lately. Ziggler and Ambrose tease dissent before the commercial break.
Back from the break Barrett has a headlock on Ambrose, before cutting him off with an elbow and tagging Harper. Harper uses the gator roll and drops Ambrose for a two count before tagging Barrett back in.
Ziggler gets the hot tag and cleans house as he hits the Heart Stopper elbow and his big DDT to Harper. Barrett and Ambrose get into it outside the ring. Back inside Ziggler hits a superkick and Zig Zag on Harper for the win.
Winners: Dean Ambrose & Dolph Ziggler via pinfall (Zig Zag)
Barrett attacks Ziggler and Ambrose after the match, and has his sights set on R-Truth, who has his title belt. Ambrose lands a suicide dive to Barrett as Truth looks on surprised. Harper tries to bully the belt from Truth but gets punted.
Bryan's music hits, and Truth hands Bryan the Intercontinental title. Stardust attacks Bryan and takes the title to close the show.
