WWE Tells Wrestlers Not To Tweet About Triple H Biopic Parody, Director Comments

As the Wrestling Isn't Wrestling video we wrote about earlier approaches one million views, it appears as if WWE talent has been asked to not share it on social media.

Director and narrator Max Landis tweeted F4W's Bryan Alvarez about the situation, saying that people in the WWE offices love the video. The explicit language used throughout the video has led to talent being asked not to tweet the video.

Landis took exception to comments Alvarez made on Wrestling Observer Live about WWE's feelings about Wrestling Isn't Wrestling and contacted him to clear it up. Alvarez apologized and invited Landis on the show, which Landis said he may do next week if he's still "relevant."

Alvarez posted a clarification later saying that a WWE employee told him that WWE legal was attempting to get Wrestling Isn't Wrestling taken down. He was also told the aforementioned rumor that WWE asked talents not to tweet about it and that the office wasn't happy, but the wrestlers enjoyed it. He stood by his source but apologized if he had heard wrong.

Landis has received tons of acclaim for the 20+ minute video, featuring several celebrity and wrestler cameos. Landis' tweets can be seen below.
