WWE Total Divas: Paige Wants A Tattoo, Cameron's Dad Makes A Scene, Tyson Kidd Tries Modeling
After a preview of this week's Diva-related developments, we join Brie and Daniel at home as they toy with a new, voice activated home security thingy. Opening credits roll and then we're out on the town with Natalya and Tyson. Nattie has decided to take TJ out for dinner to show her appreciation for everything he has done for her family over the course of recent weeks. Things get serious and they get frank about their relationship. They're still in love, folks.
Backstage at Monday Night Raw, Paige horses around with Jerry Lawler and sits on his lap which will undoubtedly lead to a lot of jokes online. Paige tells Mark Carrano that she wants a giant tattoo on her arm or chest and Jerry Lawler expresses his disapproval. Carrano says he'll run it by some people in the front office but it'll probably be a "no."
Nattie talks a bit about how live crowds now refer to Tyson as "Nattie's husband" and then we switch gears to a chat between Cameron and the Bellas about some family issues. Cameron is going to bring her beau Vincent together with her dad soon, but her dad has struggled a bit in life with substances and the like.
Back at home with Nattie and Tyson, everything is all good. Even the cat is happy to have everyone back. Unfortunately, Kidd is a little miffed about the crowd reactions lately and Nattie thinks he should try to build his identity. Seems like a modeling gig is in order.
Eva Marie and Cameron hit the road and in between scarfing down fries, Cameron says she's nervous about going home. They pull up to a house in the middle of nowhere, just in time for a commercial.
After the break, Cameron and Eva Marie are greeted by Cameron's dad, Forrest. Cameron invites him to a big family dinner and her dad explains that he hasn't been going out as much lately because he's embarrassed about his teeth. Cameron says she wants to do something to help him. She also tells her dad that he's not allowed to wear a "pimp outfit" when they go out.
Nattie and Tyson meet with a modeling agent and take a few trial pics. Over at Friday Night Smackdown, Mr. Carrano advises Paige that the front office won't approve her request for a tattoo, in part due to their agreements with Mattel who makes WWE action figures. Paige gets a little irritated and then Carrano points to Alicia and says that she confided in him that she didn't like Paige's idea for the body ink, either. Great?now Paige is mad at Foxy, too. Commercial sign.
When the show resumes, Cameron takes her dad shopping for some new threads but he's not entirely happy with her efforts at changing his style. Some tense moments ensue between the racks but father and daughter eventually hug it out and move on.
Nattie takes Tyson to the photo shoot and she's a little weirded out that he'll be working in his undies with a couple of scantily-clad beauties. She takes it in stride, though.
Cameron takes her dad to the dentist next and he shows the doc his poorly-fitted dentures. Cameron wants it all fixed in a week and the dentist explains that because of her dad's other health problems, they can't move that quickly. Cameron really wants to get this all wrapped up in time for her dad to meet her boyfriend and it's clear that Dad is starting to feel the pressure.
Commercials roll and then things pick up as Paige tells Alicia and Rosa about the time that she told her mom she wasn't a kid any more because she had "pubes." Really. Then Paige gets a call from her dad who says he doesn't want her to get a tat, either. That only makes Paige want to do it even more.
Nattie and TJ return to the modeling agency and review the photos. The agent says that fashion isn't Tyson's bag but they're going to refer him to something involving athletics. Nattie is fine with that, as she thinks it means he won't be working as closely with ladies.
Cameron and her guy take off for dinner with the family. At the restaurant, Cameron's dad strolls in and she's kind of miffed because she says he looks like a "pimp daddy." She pulls him aside and asks him to put in the dentures that have caused him so many problems in the past, just for the sake of appearances. Cameron's boyfriend whisks her dad away for a chat, which freaks the Diva out. He tells Forrest that he'd like to propose to Cameron and receives the old-timer's blessing.
Nattie and Tyson talk about his modeling a little more and then we return to Cameron's big night out. Cameron's dad stands up at the table and basically lets the cat out of the bag that he's been asked to approve their marriage. Given the fact that Vincent hasn't actually asked Cameron to marry him just yet and he hasn't presented her with a ring, it's kinda, sorta, really awkward. Vincent's dad follows up with some nice comments and everyone takes it all in stride. Cameron has a heart-to-heart with her dad after the dinner and admits that she was embarrassed about him and she apologizes to him for everything.
Alicia and Rosa meet Paige at a tattoo parlor as the Diva contemplates getting some serious ink on her chest. Nattie shows up and says that the tat is pretty cool, but she encourages Paige to weigh the pros and cons of her decision. Paige says she thinks she's going to do it and we're left with something of a cliffhanger. If only there was some kind of footage somewhere on television or on the Internet so that we could find out what Paige looks like now and we don't have to wait for next week's show to find out what she decides... Oh well. Stay tuned, reality fans!
[Hey, turns out she just got some ink on her thumbs. All of the Divas breathe a sigh of relief...]
