Drew Galloway Comments On If The Styles Clash Should Be Banned, Potentially Wrestling AJ Styles

TNA, Evolve and Dragon Gate talent Drew Galloway appeared on WrestleTalk TV this week, and was asked about a highly debated topic throughout the last year: Should the Styles' Clash be banned?

"I honestly don't know how to answer that. I guess with what's happened recently, a few incidents back-to-back, maybe avoid it for now. AJ's someone I respect, and I really want to wrestle him," Galloway said. The two are among the hottest acts on the independent circuit today.

AJ Styles came under fire in 2014 when Yoshi Tatsu, Lionheart and Roderick Strong were all injured taking the move. Styles defended himself by saying that wrestlers have to take the move right and will be safe.

"It's an unnatural bump. It's unnatural to not tuck your chin," Galloway said. "Just for now I'd stay away with what's happened. But I really admire his talent so much and look forward to working with him."

The majority of accidents with the move occur when the person taking the move trying to tuck their chin, instead of going the opposite direction and taking a front bump. This causes the person to land on their neck, causing injury.
