Muhammad Ali Has Reminder For Mayweather, Jon Jones Court Appearance Video, UFC Prelim Ratings
- Video of Jon Jones' court appearance today was posted by the ABQ Journal. Jon Jones was released from jail on $2,500 bond and was given no travel restrictions. This means that if the UFC agrees, he could still compete at UFC 187 next month.
UFC President Dana White and owner Lorenzo Fertitta both flew to Albuquerque, New Mexico to meet with Jon Jones today. As of now, no announcement has been made about the Light Heavyweight Champion's status for UFC 187. You can see video of Jones' court appearance above.
- UFC 186's prelims from this weekend drew 710,000 viewers this week, which is the lowest of the year for UFC. Overall it ranks ninth out out 14 since the move to Fox Sports 1.
- With all of the talk of the Floyd Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao fight this week as the weekend's huge fight inches closer, sports media has been filled with talk comparing Mayweather's legacy to that of Muhammad Ali. The former Cassius Clay took to Twitter (or at least his representatives did) to remind Mayweather of his greatness.
