The Briscoe Brothers Comment On New Contract Signing

As noted earlier, Ring of Honor announced today that The Briscoes, Mark and Jay, have signed a new 2-year contract with the company.

The Briscoes had been garnering interest in WWE all year long, with rumors flying about their signing for months. In the end, Ring of Honor offered the team more money to the team. There were also rumors of Jay being offered a spot as a booker. As it turns out, Triple H ended up not signing the two when he was made aware of homophobic slurs made on Twitter years ago. Previously, WWE Senior Director of Talent Development Canyon Ceman had been communicating with the team.

The two also run their own business, a chicken farm in the northeast. Signing a WWE developmental deal would have resulted in them moving to Orlando, and away from their self-owned business.

"Leaving Ring of Honor? Hell no. We're not going nowhere," said Jay Briscoe in a video statement. "We're just getting started."
