WWE SmackDown Results (4/2): Sheamus Vs. Daniel Bryan, Dean Ambrose In Action, Title Matches Set

- The show opens with a look back at Brock Lesnar's destruction on Raw.

- Seth Rollins, J&J, Kane and Big Show are out, and Rollins says he'd give Lesnar a rematch tonight if he didn't get suspended. This brings out Randy Orton, who says he should be at the front of the line for a title shot.

Orton runs down the Authority, and questions Kane's power. Kane says Orton will face Big Show, and if he wins, maybe he'll get a championship opportunity.

Randy Orton vs. Big Show (w/ Kane, Seth Rollins, J&J Security)

Orton immediately lands a draping DDT on Big Show. J&J and Kane jump in and attack Orton, causing a DQ.

Winner: Randy Orton via DQ

Seth Rollins wants a piece, but gets a Thesz Press. Kane chokeslams Orton, but Ryback comes out to make the save. Orton and Ryback destroy J&J.

- It's announced that Dolph Ziggler isn't cleared due to the Brogue Kick he took on Raw. The main event is now Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan.

Natalya vs. Naomi

The Bella Twins are on commentary, as the Naomi and Natalya lock up and have a quick series that ends in a stalemate. Natalya hits a nice no-leg atomic drop and takes control of the match with an abdominal stretch.

Naomi works out and clocks Natalya with a big kick. Natalya rolls through a sunset flip and tries to lock on a Sharpshooter, but Naomi rolls her up for a two. Naomi hits a clobbers Natalya and pins her.

Winner: Naomi via pinfall

Naomi stares at Nikki Bella as we go to commercial.

- Kane is backstage and tells Seth Rollins that he will face Orton at Extreme Rules. Kane is trying to give Rollins confidence. Rollins says the office stinks....and it's because Dean Ambrose is crapping in Kane's personal bathroom. Kane books Luke Harper vs. Dean Ambrose.

- An interview between Roman Reigns and Byron Saxton airs.

The Miz vs. R-Truth

Truth hits a corner splash and misses an Axe Kick to start things off. Right after that, Miz hits the Skull Crushing Finale for the win.

Winner: The Miz via pinfall (Skull Crushing Finale)

Mizdow pops up and hits The Miz with the Skull Crushing Finale.

- John Cena is out with the United States Title in tow. He says the title will get the respect it deserves. He says each week he's going to make an open challenge for the championship. Rusev interrupts him.

Lana says Cena isn't worthy of being the champion. Rusev says he didn't lose at WrestleMania, and that he's still the U.S. Champion. He challenges Cena to a match at Extreme Rules, which John Cena accepts. Rusev waves his flag, and Cena has an American flag drop from the ceiling when Rusev tries to have his dropped.

Dean Ambrose vs. Luke Harper

Ambrose got some offense in early until Harper clubbed him with a few European uppercuts. The two trade strikes back and forth until Luke Harper catches Ambrose and dumps him to the outside of the ring as we go to a commercial.

Back from the break Ambrose sends Harper out of the ring and comes up empty on a suicide dive attempt. He stops his momentum and hits a clothesline instead. Back inside, Ambrose lands a big elbow, but runs right into a Harper boot.

Harper can't powerbomb Ambrose and gets sent from the ring again. He tosses Ambrose over the guardrail and starts tearing up the announce table, but gets caught with a flying forearm from Dean Ambrose. Harper turns the tides by running Ambrose into the ring post and powerbombs Ambrose through the table.

Result: No contest

After a commercial, they show Ambrose being helped to the back by referees and medical workers.

- Prime Time Players are making fun of New Day in a promo.

Daniel Bryan vs. Sheamus

Sheamus has new theme music, finally. Bad News Barrett is on commentary as Sheamus hammers away Bryan early on. Bryan fights back with leg kicks and a dragon screw leg whip.

Back from a commercial Sheamus is in control, suplexing Bryan around the ring. Bryan knocks Sheamus outside and hits a suicide dive. Back inside Bryan lands a missile dropkick and kicks Sheamus several times in the chest.

Sheamus reverses things and knocks Bryan outside, busting him open in the process. Barrett hits Bryan with a Bull Hammer and Sheamus rolls back inside for the countout victory

Winner: Sheamus via countout
