WWE SmackDown Results (4/16): Champions Vs. Champions Match, Bray Wyatt In Action, More

Welcome to Wrestling Inc's coverage of WWE SmackDown. WWE is running with a split crew tonight, so it will be interesting to see how the show plays out with the likes of Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, Rusev, Ryback, and others missing.

- John Cena comes out and says that even though Rusev wants a Russian Chain match at Extreme Rules, he still wants to issue his open challenge. Cesaro and Kidd come out with Natalya and get in Cena's face. Cena challenges one of them to step up, but Daniel Bryan comes out and says he's the most handsome man in the WWE. He challenges Cesaro & Kidd to a match against he and Cena. Kidd accepts.

Bray Wyatt vs. R-Truth

Truth comes off the ropes with a forearm, then does the splits for some reason. Wyatt spider walks and scares Truth. Wyatt runs into Truth and hits Sister Abigail for the win.

Winner: Bray Wyatt via pinfall (Sister Abigail)

- We see a recap of Naomi's heel turn from Monday. Michael Cole says Paige has been advised to not compete until further notice.

- Clips of Michael Cole's interview with Roman Reigns air. He says he's not going to stop coming after Big Show.

- The Miz is in the ring and heels the crowd. Bad News Barrett comes out to save us.

The Miz vs. Bad News Barrett

Bull Hammer. Pin.

Winner: Bad News Barrett via pinfall (Bull Hammer)

- Mizdow is backstage with Summer Rae being interviewed by Renee Young. Miz wants a rematch and tells Mizdow to stop using his name. Mizdow starts mimicking Miz, and challenges him to a match on Raw, with the winner getting rights to the Miz name. Summer Rae slaps Miz.

Sheamus vs. Neville

Neville hits a calf kick right out of the gate, and chops at the legs of Sheamus. He bounces Sheamus from the ring and hits a huge dive outside the ring. He sets up for a Red Arrow, but Sheamus rolls out and Neville walks into a tilt-a-whirl slam on the floor as we go to break.

Back from commercial Sheamus is working over Neville, landing an Irish Curse backbreaker. Neville fights back with a series of kicks and a standing star press, but Sheamus kicks out and attacks the leg of Neville. Sheamus goes for his clubbing blows on the apron, but Neville gets a springboard dropkick for two.

Neville kicks Sheamus, and hits a corkscrew 450 off the second rope for two. He goes for a Red Arrow, but Sheamus knocks him off the top rope. An couple of enziguris and a clothesline knocks Sheamus to the outside. Sheamus tosses Neville onto the announce table for the DQ.

Winner: Neville via DQ

Sheamus carried Neville back in the ring and starts beating down Neville, because no babyfaces can get over in their own territory. Ziggler comes out and makes the save. Ziggler challenges Sheamus to a match right now. Sheamus tells him to "kiss his arse." Sheamus then challenges him to a "kiss me arse" match at Extreme Rules.

New Day (w/ Xavier Woods) vs. Los Matadores (w/ Torito)

Back and forth action, with New Day playing full fledged heels. Kofi Kingston hits Trouble in Paradise, but Diego rolls him up for two. Xavier pulls Torito off the apron and gets armdragged. New Day hits their finish for the win.

Winners: New Day via pinfall

- Backstage, Fandango tells Rosa Mendes to move on. Adam Rose proposes that she join him and the Rosebuds.

- Big Show comes out and says nobody appreciates him. He says he only answers to the Authority. He recaps why he hates Roman Reigns and what he did to him on Monday. He says he'll face Roman Reigns in a Last Man Standing match at Extreme Rules.


Cameron vs. Natalya vs. Alicia Fox

Natalya takes control early, but is bounced from the ring quickly. Cameron tries to go to the top rope, but the three hit a horrifying Tower of Doom, that saw Cameron land badly.

Natalya and Cameron trade pin attempts, but Natalya catches Cameron in the Sharpshooter. Alicia misses a scissor kick and gets locked in a Sharpshooter that is broken up by Cameron, who is dumped outside.

Fox capitalizes with a scissor kick, but gets tossed out and Cameron gets the pin.

Winnner: Cameron via pinfall

That Tower of Doom was scary.

Fandango vs. Adam Rose (w/ Rosebuds & Rosa Mendes)

This one is over in a hurry. Fandango wins with a roll up and dances for the crowd.

Winner: Fandango via pinfall

- Bray Wyatt is back cutting a cryptic, short promo

Kidd & Cesaro (w/ Natalya) vs. John Cena and Daniel Bryan

Cesaro takes control early, as he and Kidd take turns beating down Cena. Cena tries to make the tag to Bryan, but Cesaro catches him with a gutwrench suplex and applies a chinlock. Cena battles out with a belly-to-back suplex, and moves out of the corner while a charging Cesaro hits the buckles.

Cena crawls to the corner, but Kidd pulls Bryan off the apron. Cena locks an STF on Cesaro, but Kidd immediately breaks it up while dealing with Bryan. Kidd flips out of an AA and connects with a dropkick to the face that gets two. Cena scores a back body drop as Bryan gets the hot tag.

Bryan knocks Cesaro off the apron and goes to work on Kidd. He hits Cesaro with a dropkick and drop toe holds Kidd into the corner. A Frankensteiner gets two before Kidd kicks out. Bryan kicks both tag champs repeatedly, but Natalya gets on the apron to distract him. Kidd accidentally runs into her, but Cesaro catches her. Bryan applies the Yes Lock on Kidd for the submission as Cena hits the AA on Cesaro.

Winners: Daniel Bryan & John Cena via submission (Yes Lock)
